Great reaction guys! Yes Freddie was only five nine. His personality was so huge and his onstage persona was just great! So I think he appeared taller.

Hey Justin, if your better 1/2 wants Freddy to be 6'1", just deal with it! Freddy, one of the best front men ever! You wouldn't know it by their 2-3 commercial songs you hear constantly. But these guys could ROCK!!!

YAAAAAY…. THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY DAYYY!!! This is definitely one of my ALL TIME FAV performances, and this 1982 Milton Keynes “Fire At The Bowl” is my ALL TIME FAV concert. (The WHOLE thing is as FUN and AWESOME as this clip.) BTW, bet she’s thinking of: “CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE” (re. her country song question)… Dwight Yokam did a cover of it some years ago.🖖

at the end, notice the eagle eye contact between the band member to end together. No 'click's for them. Yeah, Freddie was 5' 9 1/2". Brian is 6' 2" & add to that about 4 more inches of curls on top of his head. Freddie's been described as small & delicate by some reporters and interviewers. But on stage he sure was huge.

He did look 3 times his actual height on stage but he was 5ft 9in which is about average for a guy.There was nothing average about Freddie Mercury.

Yes - Brian wanted his guitar to be able to make a lot of (different) noises - - so - as his parents couldn't afford a guitar he built it himself with his father - 60 years ago - - and he still plays it 90% of the time - - and he still plays - With Roger Taylor as Queen+ Adam Lambert - supported by 3 other musicians - Spike Edney on keys and a bass player and a drummer to make it possible for Roger to sing a bit more - and relax . They are touring the world - has done for 12 years - for sold out arenas - . They come to North America this October doing a tour of 6 weeks. Since the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody" was released a whole new generation(s) has discovered Queen and they are happy to be able to continue singing the songs - keeping them alive. Adam is no Freddie - but he has a voice second to none - he can sing the songs and he is a hell of a showman.

Queen was probably the second most disrespected, misunderstood and unfairly treated band by critics and media in general behind Rush in that 74-80ish period. People just couldn’t, wouldn’t or didn’t want to get it. Neil said in an interview in the 90’s I believe that there was still hope for Rush being that the second most hated band in that early period, Queen was being vindicated and rediscovered by the younger generation thanks to Wayne’s World and the current prominent successful bands citing them as a major influence.🤘🖖✌️🎸🎹🎤🥁

But the fans were there - and still are - and follows them around the world - filling the arenas - the problem is /was the critics - -. ----and the political incorrectness seen from the american critics who didn't "get" "I wan't to get free" with the band dressed in drag - inspired by a british soap - . It ruined their succes in America - - for a time - - the critics can be harsh - and many do not understand british/european sense of humor . Right now there is a lot of discussion of Hugh Grant being "rude"? in an interview - - - where he was behaving completely honest and ironic - but not rude. Writing this makes me realize that when I have been scolded for my comments from time to time - it might be the cultural differences - (I'm from Denmark) - because I really don't understand why. 🙄
