Originally from China, Ning Ning is bilingual in Korean and Chinese, and has garnered a lot of attention for her powerful and unique voice. Wendy (my bias) is arguably the best singer in Kpop right now, and top 3 all time in all of kpop imo. She had a vocal cord nodule when she made her debut that kinda hinder her potential, but when it got fixed, it released her optimal talent. Her power and tone is uncanny. Having a collaboration song with international star John Legend and music legend Ricky Martin is hella impressive. Not just in the kpop scene, she's also a singer in theater and musicals and has been invited to perform worldwide coz of her pure singing talent. Irene is the face of Red Velvet, but the voice, heart, and soul of RV really is Wendy.

BoA, at the young age of 14 (in 2000) has single handedly introduced Kpop internationally and paved the way for all the kpop singers, groups, and artists. At age 15, she already had a Japanese album and by 16 her album was already triple platinum. So many great Kpop singers over the years have her as their role model and sang her songs in their auditions. Definitely a legend, icon in all of Kpop.

BoA is the standard that every single Kpop company bases their training model off of due to her success. She also literally saved both her company and South Korea from financial collapse due to facilitating trade between South Korea and Japan (says prime ministers of both countries and the founder of SM himself).

I remember when BoA released her first Japanese album, Listen to My Heart. It was a fantastic album, packed full of songs (14 tracks according to google). Now that's a full length album, lol. Not to take away from current music but a lot of kpop albums are pretty sparse. But back to BoA... I saw her performing on Japanese shows and she was very talented. Her singing and dancing were impressive for someone so young and her command of conversational Japanese was also really good. It's hard to believe that she is 37 and debuted 23 years ago. Time flies.

She is a super talented vocalist and a huge dork and mood maker in Red Velvet. Coach already knows about 2ning but I was really impressed with her lower register in this song.
