Yeah, I know Stone Sour did a very popular live cover. To be fair, Corey Taylor kinda did a Johnny Cash "Hurt" cover. Brought his own slightly more angsty/angry vibe to the song.

Chris Isaak is a Californian through and through. He was born in Stockton CA. Still lives in CA. One of the most underrated vocalists. Chris writes his music and plays guitar. He’s also acted in film. Yes, pronounced Isaac.

You can never go wrong with Chris Isaak!! Especially a live Chrisl as good as the studio versions are they are nothing compared to seeing/hearing him live. Been a fan since '84, seen him live once a year since '89 and have never been disappointed. He wrote this song after getting a call from a female aquaintance with benefits, if you get my drift. In the time it took her to get to his house for the bootie call he wrote this song. About that love you no is no good for you but you crave it any way.

@@jamesatkinson7691 True.I remember the character of Willem Dafoe from Wild at Heart was an absolute nutter. The way he died might be one of the most gruesome scenes I can remember from any movie. I think the actress that played Laura Palmer in Fire Walk With Me was briefly in the movie Wild at Heart too. I think she appeared as some angel for a brief moment singing some silly song. Saw both those movies at the cinema some time in the 90's. Every time i see Chris Isaak I think of his character from the movie Fire Walk With Me. He was some kind of FBI agent in the movie for about the first 20 or so minutes in the movie. David Bowie was also in that movie later on so it funny how David Lynch would use musicians to do acting roles in his movies and they all seem naturals at it.

You have to watch the original video. It was the song combined with the fantastically beautiful video in black and white that made the song hit world wide. The world-famous Danish model Helena Christensen, who was the girlfriend of Michael Hutchence the lead singer of the Australian pop rock group INXS before Michael Hutchence committed suicide, is in the video together with Chris Isack. By the way, Chris Isack is a former fighter. That's why he has the special nose where the bridge of his nose has been broken several times and his eyebrows/bones are also from his boxing matches. He was actually a good boxer. He is also an actor in many movies.

Travis and Suzi About 22 years ago, Chris had a sitcom series on Showtime Pay Network. Series is called The Chris Isaak Show. Chris and his bandmates starred in this show that went from March 2001 to March 2004. Series is unreleased to video (DVD) because of music licensing costs.

I saw him open for Bonnie Raitt in the early 90's. His entire set was high energy rockabilly songs (except Wicked Game, his most popular song). He blew away Bonnie Raitt. His vocals in this performance have been altered, which is a shame because Chris Isaak doesn't need auto tuning - he's a fantastic vocalist with no pitch aids.

Totally freaky film that was, in a loose, weird way, patterned after The Wizard of Oz, with a healthy dose of Elvis sprinkled in. His original guitar player was the great James Wilsey. The new guy is good for sure, but nobody can match the slow, reverb-drenched tone and creativity of Mr. Wilsey. Listen to the difference between the first 3 Chris Isaak albums and his later releases. Still good, but missing that "X-factor."

Not as good as the studio recording. He looks and sounds like he is tired of doing this HIT! A common maledy of stars constantly being ask to do a particular song. His lead guitarist is fantastic! as always.
