Colin Carpenter was a very celebrated comedian as was Paul Hogan's sidekick Strop. These were the last days where British humour dominated the characteristics of Australian humour soon after dominated by American sitcoms which relied heavily in satirical put downs which despite not being particularly funny humour filled the airways. Thus why Monty Python was such a huge success in Australia. Australian's even today prefer British humour, especially the older generation.

Josephine (or Jophesine as she called herself) the 3 yr old girl in the pink dress saying things like "That's ruuuuuuude, isn't it", and having her finger stuck up her own nose. Ian doing his David Rabbitborough sketches. And lastly, two great characters done by Mary-Anne Fahey and Glenn Robbins, Shazza and Dazza, who were always parked up in his car, talking about general stuff until they started to flirt with each other and then they'd start breathing heavy. Such classic Aussie comedy. I only wished some fools at channel 10 had bothered to keep all of the episodes in their entirety. I would've loved to have bought every episode in a dvd box set.

Our daughter has a friend who lived in Queensland and our daughter lived in NSW. They were talking on the phone one night when the friend said “ you should see the moon it looks amazing” so our daughter had a look and said it did look amazing, her friend responded by saying. “ do you have the same moon down there that we have here” 🤣🤣😂😂🤣😂😢

Eric Bana was in this show. He had a bogan character called Poiter (Peter) from Airport West who drove a Holden Monaro and was a ‘kickboxing Adonis’.
