Definitely should have been the winner, but it became a political thing between Russia & Ukraine.

This was definitely my winner in 2016. I don’t know if it was the first or second time Australia competed in Eurovision (at first it was supposed to be a one time thing, because the event is very popular in Australia) but ever since then they have been competing. I believe it was 2016… Check out Voyager - Promise from Eurovision 2023 please… They are like a Depeche Mode kind of band but with a bit more rock in it, the band is currently not performing because the lead singer has cancer… Totally different genre than this song, but Australia always sends interesting stuff. I believe it was 2018 or 2019 where they had sort of a Disney/poppy/Opera song which was pretty cool as well, I forgot the performers name or the name of the song though. Jamala bringing a BS song though 😂 That cracks me up…. When I first heard that song I felt like that too, but she used to rule the Ukrainian selection team with an iron fist a couple of years ago… If someone has performed in Crimea after 2014 and wants to represent Ukraine in Eurovision, no no no… She be like: hell no, crimea river… She’s a boss, and I actually think the song is pretty cool now. This happened in 2019 believe, they eventually really picked someone else to represent Ukraine after they found out the girl performed in the “Russian “territories, so to speak… So they went with number two or three 😅😂 Oh well, if that’s a rule… 🤷🏻‍♀️
