Sunrise is my favorite Gfriend title track. And I'm not going to lie . When it first came out I was so freaking confused. Because everyone's theory( eunha being dead was like dead on) then we figured out eunha was actually the only one alive and we had to go back and redo everything ( I like to make theorys /not on YT/ and it took me already 3/4 years to make gfriend theory) but if you ask me what gfriend song sunrise is my number one not only for vocals but for visual and dance. It really shows gfriend range!

They made the SSummer choreo easier for fans to dance but jokes on us it's still hard lol.

To clarify one point Sunny summer and Fever are not part of their main Storyline. They are mostly "experimental" but fun summer songs for summer season that GFRIEND did to explore other music genre. By the way, good catch to have noticed the member names puns, not everyone as first listen catched that. lol Also cool fact, Umji and Eunha really know how to play piano and in the MV they play the real notes.

Everyone has basically explained things really well so I won’t need to go into much detail lmao Sunny Summer and the whole mini album was basically a gift for the fans! They made the choreo easier for people to learn this time! The names in the song were also super cute and the fact that they all sang their own names! You’re the first person I’ve seen react to Sunny Summer and to hear all of their names! SinB’s hair was like ash grey for this comeback since she had always wanted it that colour. Then black for sunrise era and then for fever she went for blue/ green (her first appearance was with blue) and then to a faded colour that looked similar to sunny Summer era! Sunrise is basically a big vocal flex and the dance is so difficult as well? Very powerful performance! Sunny Summer came about 3 months after Time For The Moon Night, a relatively short period by their norm (typically 5-7 months), intended as a fan gift for the summer. In terms of style, you are correct that it stands out from their orchestral sound, much poppier. Sunrise is in essence a vocal festival by Gfriend, also among my favorite from Gfriend. The choreo simply slays. I particularly love how much they use spin to transition into position. Just beautiful. BTW, Gfriend also has wonderful discography of their Japanese releases. Not sure if you will react to them since some have reservations about Japanese releases because of their vigor in copyright claims.

Sunrise's choreography was learned two days before they perform it on stage for end-of-year-perfomance with TFTMN for the half of the first and second goes with Sunrise for promotion (but you can see how synchronized they were). If you watch the stage you can see that they were very tired with the promotions and all.

Sunny Summer had the potential to be a summer hit if it was released in August. It charted higher IN August than July in Gaon and is played numerous times in variety shows and KDramas, it was also loved by the younger audience. If they promoted this hard and waited for TFTMN's hype to be over, 2018 could be their second 2016.

Sunny summer kinda belongs to the main storyline if you pay attention to the logo. Also, you can notices than even if the song is a summer song and it says SUNNY, the whole mv takes place indoors and the lyrics says: having a good bam(night) which matches well with the main story and makes sunny summer somehow creepy. Also the last 30 seconds of Sunrise, the progression from the calm beginning to that ending, the mv aesthetics and the story, the instrumental, the modulation at the final chorus, the unexpected notes... A whole masterpiece and many people just don't realize :(

Yup Kaia! TFU album is such a gold esp Sunrise. No one can withstand for that last 30 sec. PLUS, Sunrise is the start for the other members to "flex" their vocal abilities starting with Yuju and Eunha as the main combo and SinB joins them. Later in Crossroads, Yuju and Eunha doing the high notes and Labyrinth's high notes were mostly done by Eunha with a pair of Eunha - Umji, Umji - SinB, Eunha - Yerin and in Apple era, it was done by Yuju, Eunha and Umji. If you thought Sunrise was their highest vocal notes, try listening back to Apple. After Sunrise, the members have been given a chance to show their vocal caabilities and that's what I love about GFriend. No one is left behind and each year, their line distributions also getting even to each members
