She was a standout even before she arrived in Thailand where the Miss Universe was held and in all my years of watching this pageant, this is the first time that the frontrunner from day 1, keeps on getting stronger as the coronation minute comes... and no one can really beat her in any round.

She was a standour in Miss World in 2016 except for Julia Morley's prejudice against Miss Philippines since 1979 when she deniwd Miss Philippines Evangeline Pascual the Miss World crown and gave it to Marjorie Wallace who eloped with the race car driver and Revlon heir on the 3rd month of her reign. Yes the Philippines has 1 Miss World title holder in 2013, that is Megan Young bur that is because Julia Morley's Indonesian hosts were smitten by her and Morley could not refuse Megan the crown in fear of imsulting her Indonesian hosts.

Actually, Catriona already received attention even before she landed in Thailand. Many foreign audiences looked up to her overall performance at Binibining Pilipinas 2018.

@@cyrene3157 Miss World eluded the Philippines when it joined the anti-racism equality protest for South Africa. Before, South Africa sent two delegates of different races to Miss World. Megan Young was a runaway winner in Miss World 2013. It's not true that it was only the Indonesians who wanted her to win. She aced each category of the pageant. Megan and Julia Morley actually bonded when they both fell off the roof of a school on their visit to Haiti. From 2014 up to this day, Megan Young is still affiliated with the Miss World Organization as a pre-pageant events judge and emcee of the pre-pageant events and as co-host of the coronation day.

Dom Rep. was the 1st runner-up..Catriona was 3rd r-up..she was placed way, way below despite the fact she dominated all the Fast Track events that time in MW 2016 ! That's the reason Filipinos no longer patronized Miss World eventhough Megan Young is hosting the pageant yearly..
