First time I heard this was when I was doing some voluntary work at a art gallery in the far north of Scotland, they had just dropped off 20 tonnes of hardcore and I had just started spreading it to make a carpark when Black Betty came on the radio, the three of us on the shovels were singing out loud by the end of the song.

Its such a great song to listen too, especially if you want get away from all modern day "PC" BS. All ways puts me in a good mood this tune. I also have this in my Spotify "Golden oldies" playlist.

Lots of cool stuff in this song! 🙂 could you react to something of Electric Light Orchestra? Jeff Lynne, the mastermind behind the band, is known as one of the greatest producers ever. For his own band/solo, and for alot of great artists..including, Tom petty, Roy Orbison and many more.. 🙂

Fromn the same time period and much the same instrumentation (but with anh added keyboards player) and at lest just as fun is Hocus Pocus by the Dutch band Focus. However, there wi8ll be no language barrier. There are two versions out there, a shortened live version from an American TV show and the full album version. Great stuff.

You see, I edit a little KC Chiefs fan community site, and one of my ongoing features involves featuring any videos I found interesting that day, 2 of yours included. Folks like the variety. But you're also correct that the DNSA's cover of The Ecstasy of Gold was spectacular, so too bad they blocked embedding. Still provides a view-on link, and as I said, variety, and they trust me.
