Nice video. One thing i wish you'd mentioned: - the bass line does a lot of work before each chorus begins. After meandering about in the verse it will drop down and strike a low, open string before going a little wild, and only then will in settle into the rhythmic chorus line. I think that those open strings pack a powerful punch.

UK and US largely resisted Modern Talking's charms in the 80s. Sad Brits and Americans respond so well to them now, 40 years on.

Thank you for doing this. I just purchased tickets to see ELO IN October in the US, quickly followed by David Gilmour. This is absolutely incredible music.

I enjoyed this. This was done well before the show opened in London, and smartly released by ALW in an attempt create a buzz for the show. I have to admit that Steve Barton really nailed it with the duet in the London production. Beautiful song.

There is a longer version. It has an extra verse in it and is much better. A must listen. All the members join in on the chorus.

The organ part is based on Air On A G String by JS Bach. On a side note(no pun intended) this was a concert recorded for Danish TV. Every instrument of the orchestra was close mic'ed and every singer had his/her own microphone. It was recorded over 100 tracks which of course were mixed down to a stereo pair. They recorded two concerts on successive days but only footage from the second one was used.

This song is one Of the most important songs in Rock history!! It marked a move to artistic expression and a song Peter Frampton, among many, has called “The Perfect Song”… “a masterpiece”, as is this performance! Originally Released in 1967 and yes that is Gary Brooker (R.I.P. 2022) on the original release and this marvelous version!

I fought back saying this for weeks but one thing stood out all my life from the movie and that was the "aah a aah a" sound like when Eli Wallach "Tuco" bursts out of the casa. They really played this down in the background. Here I am, messing with perfection)). "THOSE WHO CAN...DO. THOSE WHO CAN'T...CRITIQUE MASTERPIECES.

I saw The Good the Bad and the Ugly many times back in the early 70s when I worked at a drive-in movie. They would put 3 films together on a western weekend theme and this one would be part of it.

If you enjoyed that piece, then I suggest you check out the main soundtrack from a movie called “The Mission” from the same composer, starring Jeremy Irons, and Robert DeNero. You will find that is a true masterpiece and will give you chills

The building was designed to be a good live hall, as well as a good place to record music, so thats why the sound is so good. I have seen a couple of concerts live in that hall, and the sound is always really really good.

@@DefenestrateYourself While speculation on my part...she may well know how to use the Colt 45. Seems perhaps a training prerequisite for this job. While guns are more restricted in Denmark there are various clubs and shooting ranges where she could have learned how to use one. It would certainly give her (and any of the other musicians) a better appreciation of the movie.
