I didn't really like this, in spite of the fact that I was bobbing my head.

Reanato Zero is one of the biggest artists here in Italy!!!! And he is the only performer that we have, i mean...he doesn’t only sing...he create a real show on stage and this is unusual for Italy. His famous songs are: la favola mia, il triangolo, mi vendo, un uomo da bruciare, amico, il cielo, il carrozzone, niente trucco stasera😉

Renato Zero is very important for the Italian scene in the 70s / 80s, giving voice to the last minorities with his songs. This text is beautiful but perhaps translated does not have the same emotion. Thanks for reaction ^_^

Which minorities? Poor people are not a minority nor are junkies. For sure he gave no voice to gays .

@@donatellaborciccibelloni5328 I'm Sorry for the bad translation .. I did not intend to place the poor in the social context of "minorities". Having said that, I am not of the same opinion. He has always been a courageous artist for having always carried out his ideas and being outside any convention giving a voice to the marginalized and minorities, even those of homosexuals. You don't have to "come out" to defend a social part. It is enough just to fight for the freedom of every kind of expression. And in this he succeeded perfectly. I hope the translation is more accurate.

@@domenicocova4688 if he did not feel it was important to "come out" then he was a traitor of the lgbt cause an therefore had no right to talk on behalf of gay people. And actually he never really did.The only person he stood up for was himself. It is no wonder that the glbt community does not respect somebody that at the age of 70 still denies his homosexuality.

As Domenico says, Renato Zero has been a great singer who fought for minorities: drug addicts, gays, the last of the society. He started in the 70’s dressing up like a clown, a woman. In Italy it is almost like an Italian David Bowie. And this version is a live version and he is a theatrical version. Difficult to appreciate it if you are not deeply into him.

when did he fight for gays? The only song he dedicated to gays was "onda Gay" and remained quite unnoticed. Gays never wanted to be represented by someone who denies, still today, that he is gay. As they say in Rome, it's a barzelletta vivente.

You are the confirm of what I have always said. renato Zero music is good for Italy. His lyrics are anachronistic and dull and his music never really changed through the years.

Anacronistico? Più su risale al 1981 se non erro. Per niente anacronistico allora. Sarà anacronistico oggi, forse, per alcuni. Cosa vuol dire anacronistico?
@donatellaborciccibelloni53283 жыл бұрын
@lacameradeisogni27843 жыл бұрын
I agree with you that Renato Zero has changed a lot in the last 15 years at least. I don't like the current version. And probably you are right too when you say it didn't do much for the LGBT community except wearing weird costumes and impersonating unusual characters.
