German here: I don't know who will win the Soccer EM, but I vote for Scotland as Fan-EM-Champions.

The Scotland - Germany bromance is probably the best thing of the whole tournament. I mean, many Germans already loved Scotland before but now there is even a petition for a yearly friendly match to be held either in Scotland or Germany.

The Scottish fans were exemplary. Loud and boisterous without being absolute dickheads like some others.

It's not because of the party why we celebrate the Scottish fans. It is the friendliness and helpfulness with which the Scots distinguished themselves. There is a picture where 2 Scots drink beer in the rain, but hold an umbrella for an older man.

There is actually a petition to have a yearly friendly match between Scotland and Germany. Last I checked it had 50k+ signatures. Our fans fell in love with each other.

Scots showing pride while still being friendly and respectful - so many people could learn from them! I live in one of the houses where the fanwalk in Cologne was and people here still talk about how great the scottish fans were. Our neighbour said: "They drink and party like there is now tomorrow while still being the kindest guests we ever had." I think there is even a petition for Germany and Scottland having at least one friendly game every year.

I had to travel for work around Stuttgart when the scottish fans were around. They behaved absolutely friendly and civilized; even helped other train passengers. There was this small lady having trouble to lift her suitcase into the luggage rack on the train, so a scottish man offered some help. Lady said "carefull it´s very heavy" the scott just replied "good thing I´m very strong" and lifted it up like it was nothing. Then gave her a smile and went on to find his place. Absolutely lovely guests to have :) From all the nationalities coming to visit, the scottish people cemented a reputation to be the best guests!

Scottish and especially Bavarians have a lot in common: Kilt and Lederhose, blue and white, larger scales of consuming beer, old rites and traditions, mountain-folk-music... :) You really can be proud of the Scottish Fans - and i liked it to study the glance in your eyes, watching those wonderful scenes... my face still hurts, because this video made me smile the whole way through. And if you ask me: The crown jewels of this Euro will be Scotland and the Netherlands... wait... the Austrians as well, Georgien... ? 😉Wherever fangroups come around, they transform the athmospheres of our streets, places and stadiums in a wonderful way ! Curios fun fact: At the European Football Championship in Germany, fans from Scotland and Germany fraternized en masse. These were probably so profound that a petition has now even been launched to seal the mutual affection. One German supporter is even calling for an annual test match between the two countries - and has found thousands of supporters. This fan from Berlin therefore started a petition called "Annual friendly match between Germany and Scotland". He says: "Whether at fan festivals, fan miles or simply in everyday life on the streets and in the pubs, the citizens of both nations become friends. Germans cheer for Scotland, Scots cheer for Germans. We suggest that the DFB and the Scottish Football Association organize an annual friendly match. Ideally, Germany and Scotland would alternate as hosts." So far (June 28), this guy has already found around 52,000 supporters who have signed the petition. So he is obviously well on the way to bringing the Tartan Army back to Germany. Let's see what happens :-)

It was said that there were around 200,000 Scots in Munich. I don't think there were really that many, but there were very, very many. I would say they had Munich under control, in an absolutely positive sense. And a 20 year old Scottish fan walked from Glasgow to Munich - about 1600km in 41 days.

My half-brother is part Scottish on his dad´s side and went to the Germany - Sctottland match in München dressed in his kilt and the Germany jersey. He said the atmosphere in the stadium was really great and the Scottish and German fans got along really well. I think us Germans have a love for Scottland in general, it´s one of our favourite places to travel. 💙🤍💙

I had an appointment with a few friends of mine at one of Munichs biggest Beergarden (HIRSCHGARTEN) on Friday, 14th. - just before all Scottish fans left to get on the bus heading to Allianz-Arena. I really did not expect so many Scottish fans! VERY likeable and it was a pleasure to talk to them. Welcome back at any time ! ♥

I ran into a lot of Scotland fans in cologne, because their second match took place here. I had a tough time getting home that evening because al trams were packed with people. (obviously) But I had some nice conversation with Scotish people and they were absolutely amazing. When they played "highland cathedral" which also got covered to become a local city anthem, most residents of cologne were touched by the atmosphere and the spirit the Scots spread during their march.

we have so much luv for the Scottish fans and a lot of empathy, because they have to share an island with the English lads. It was a lot of fun to have them as guests

It was just pure joy to have the Scots around! A friend of mine described it like that: It's like throwing a party: The Scots come around, spread joy, are talkative, drink a lot but are still funny to be around them as they are never agressive. The English however... well, they come, critisize the food you provide (while trampling it into the carpet), annoy everybody with their stupid jokes, pee in your kitchen sink and puke on your sofa. - Btw, he's from England himself...

The Scottish fans were fabulous and very likeable. They had fun celebrating in a jubilant, completely non-aggressive way. But then again I didn't expect anything other from these great people. Best wishes from Germany, see you again in Scotland this autumn.

The scottish really bring home a excellent reputation to scotland and the scottish people. Loved you before but now you are my absolute favourites. Also as a upper bavarian i have to say we aren't that different. We live in higher altitudes, hills, mountains, we both have very traditional clothing and we both are just a different bunch of people. White and blue are the colors of bavaria and we both have a heavy accent 😅. Love you scotts. Can't tell the same about other brittish... hmpf...

The Scottish fans are absolutely amazing. Great guests, so polite (help the Elderly, clean up their mess, very acommodating), a bit crazy and all in all full on sweethearts. I have seen, heard and experienced only the very best. I live in Cologne and one Scot very adorably didn't manage to get up an escalator (he wanted up, but took the lane that went down). He struggled, almost made it and then eventually failed. He was fairly drunk ofc. Another bloke thought it was a good idea to jump into the Rhine all naked. Luckily he made it out again. The Rhine is not for swimming. The current is too strong and it's riddled with turbulent vortices. Crazy and great people, you Scots! :)

In Cologne on the market there was an old main with a walker and it was raining and amidst all the partying two Scottish lads were helping him across and shielding him with umbrellas from the rain - very lovely people in Scotland!!!

Munich guy here. I live in the very quarter that's shown here. It was an interesting and somewhat stressful weekend, because the scotsmen were everywhere. I talk to the guys in the supermarket. They were completely overwhelmed by the beer consumption and had more than quardrupled their beer stocks in advance. The guys of the telekom service shop next to the city hall had a little noise problem, communication was a little difficult. The scotts left leaving several monuments in Viktualienmarkt with tasteful hats. The big pub was the Hofbräuhaus. They deal with everything - some happy scotsmen are no problem. The memorial with the large lions in front is the Feldherrenhall. A historic place, where Hitlers coup in 1923 was stopped by police bullets. So in a nutshell: we know much worse - every year in February we host an international warfare and politicians conference with American top politicians and guys like Putin or Xi in attendance. That's much worse.

Greetings, Mo Charaid! Since i live in northern Germany (Hannover), the links to british and dutch people are traditionally very strong. The Scots did a great job, advertizing their wild, but peaceful celebrations, imho. Sadly, England fans used to complain a lot this time, while others just enjoyed the tournament, as it should be. However, maybe it was just a bad collection of reports, regarding the Brits, but their frustration was noticable in general. Hard times, after the Brexit i guess - but keep in mind, guys: We love our friends from the isle, we always did! What is so refreshing, watching the Euro this year is: The fans have nearly the same range to travel, all is pretty close and can be reached by train or car in a day. We are all cultural on the same page and the sport is on focus, not the politics. After this desaster in Qatar, happening in the winter time, in a country that doesn´t care about football, i feel reliefed. Personally, i think that the Euro is already a great success, so many fans on the move, from all directions. It supports the unity, we badly need in this crazy times. German here with a scottish mother. I have never seen so many scottish people outside of scotland. I live in Düsseldorf and they definitly had a great time in our "Altstadt". The Pubs literally ran out of beer. Been to the match in cologne vs switzerland and everybody just wanted to have a great time. I loved that nearly everybody was dressed with a kilt. I am sad it's over now..
