I love this! ❤ Also, for what it’s worth, I think in actuality our kids are “normal” and a lot of other kids have been desensitized 😔

I agree with this--what we expose our children to either lifts them up or breaks them down.

Aw, I don't want to reread Charlotte's Web even as a 50+ year old adult! I haven't reread The Mouse and the Motorcycle since I was little, so I don't remember the details. But I do remember that I loved it. And I still love rereading the Little House books! Such a comfort read. I'll have to check out many of these that I haven't heard of before. I love children's books.

Needed this! My kiddos are also sensitive. We trialed "story of the world" for history and has to stop. My kids couldn't handle the talk of people's heads being chopped off and all the death. I know it's true but they definitely weren't ready for it.

Charlotte’s Web makes me ball 😭. Like to the point where my kids ask me if I’m ok. I remember reading it as a child and being sad, but rereading it to my kids as an adult and parent now just get me 🐷🕷❤

These look fantastic! Thank you for sharing 💗 My daughter is not sensitive in the sense that things will scare her but she doesn’t like emotional stuff, and she will pick up on bad habits/behavior with some characters. I know some of these touch on your emotions but I’m still going to try Charlotte’s Webb and watch the movie after as a bonus for finishing the book. Oh goo! Thank you for sharing the Mindy books! I never heard of them, and they will be so perfect for my girl, we are a mix family, she’s 1/2 Korean. She has started to take notice that she looks different…and sometimes makes sad comments; although, her friends are all different as well but none are Asian. I’m a very happy Mamma right now for learning about this books. I feel I can trust the quality being recommended by you. 🥰

We love Heartwood Hotel too! This is our current read-aloud. However, my son didn't like The Wild Robot just because of the part where Ros had to leave her mom. My son bawled 😭 and he didn't want to read it anymore. He couldn't control his emotions. 😢 Our kids are really unique, and what might be ok with other kids may not be for our child. And that's okay, this is the way God designed us to be. Always looking forward to your read aloud recos, Angie! Thank you!

I loved this! My 8 year old son's second grade class recently just read the book Sarah, Plain and Tall. Well the mom in the book died and he was really sensitive to that. He has been upset ever since and worries that something will happen to his dad or I. It breaks my heart. We do not watch most Disney movies for the reason as well. I love that I can refer to this list of books without worry other than Charlotte's Web which his class will also be reading this year. But maybe I should read it with him ahead of time to prepare him. Or just tell him ahead of time what will happen? But anyway, thank you!

Hi! Thank you for making so informative and detailed videos. I am an Indian parent and I've watched couple of your videos including the one on maths curriculum. I want to ask, of you could help me get the dimensions Kindergarten maths curriculum books..pdfs ...or any other way...since they are not available here. I will have to place an international order and that's too much on my pocket. I havebeen reaching out to many in this case, if anyone could of help.

My sensitive son has enjoyed some of these, but My Father’s Dragon was one we quit in the first chapter or two. Heartwood Hotel is great. The scene you mention in Adventures with Waffles… is it with the chicken? We thought that was hilarious!
