On a damp, rainy and cool Saturday morning, Blue Comet Productions ventured out scenic Northeast Pennsylvania to witness Reading & Northern 4-6-2 "Pacific" #425 charge up the grades of the mainline North to Jim Thorpe, hosted in benefit of the Annville United Methodist Church. Wearing a former Reading Hooter, the whistle seemed to compliment the mood of the day, with its eerie wail echoing off the mountains surrounding. 765 and 611 are great, but I just keep coming back and watching videos of this little blue Pacific as it fights tooth-and-nail up the mountain grades.

Strasburg 90 has one of those Reading Hooter whistles that sounded eerie like a ghost train.
