If you enjoy Level Up videos, be sure to let me know in the comments! I can definitely make more of them, and I'd love to hear from you if you have any ideas for how I can make them better! Also, if there are any topics you'd like to see me cover, just let me know and I'll see what I can do!

It occurred to me, that maybe it is best to treat the table not as the player on your right and player on your left, but your entire right side and your entire left side. To treat them like single entities.

Loved this! However, you never clarified exactly when is there a strong signal? You mention 5th pick a lot so is that the sweet spot? What about 6,7,8 etc? You also never mentioned cutting your color to send signals that your color isn’t open. I feel like that’s always an important signal to send later in the pack. Just pull your color if it’s the only one left to say “no more of this color.”

A good signal is almost always a multiple pick process. Early picks are also harder to get signals from because there could be multiple strong cards in the pack. I think around 4th pick is when you can start seeing a color is open, and then you are constantly updating that in your head as picks keep coming. Also, keep in mind that you are already inherently reading signals by taking the best card out of every pack early. I think cutting a color is more useful as a tool for staying open rather than to send signals. You never know whether your opponent opened a bomb rare of that color that heavily incentivizes them to play that color or some other factor. However, sticking to one color is a great tool to help you find the open colors yourself, so it is still good to do.
