I guess spending $4.50 per card to use this tool is a pretty good deal. Earlier this afternoon I purchased, at a local convenience store, my first Daily Racing Form in 40+ years. (I enjoyed going to the track in the early 1980s. However, I've only been twice since then.) Today's Form cost me $10.78. Ouch. As you can imagine, they went up a lot in 40 years. I think I remember the form costing $1.75 back in the early '80s. Thanks for taking the time to create this tutorial.

Thanks I will more than like begin to use the formulator now that you’ve walked me through it better especially the jock stats and a few other valuable key pieces of info, and possibly I can now view quicker than my ole school method

Good video. But, here is the problem with most PPs and racing forms. If my looking at horse Y, I wants to know how fast that horse ran that race on that day. I don't really care how fast the winning horse ran it. I want the time that the horse I'm looking at, times. If the winning time was 1.22 and my horse came in 9 lengths back. I want to know what time he was, was it 1.33 ? Is there a programs that does that? With all the technology, are you tell me that they can't post the times for every horse in a race, just the winning horse. That is crazy or just lazy.

Timeform US will do this for you, as will DRF Formulator. They are both highly customizable.

An old rule of thumb is a fifth of a second equals one length. So if a horse finishes 9 lengths back of a winner that ran 1:22, it would have run the race in 1:23 and 4/5. Races are timed in hundredths of seconds now, but it easy to convert that to fifths. 1:22.80 is the same as 1:22 4/5, etc. I hope this helps.
