when you said “maybe I need to add water to it” I gasped 😭😂 even if you have a bit of water on the spoon, it will make the chocolate unusable, possibly what made it chunky (sadly learnt it through my own mistakes). loving vlogmas so far 🥰

Hii, Alexandra ! Love you vlogs ! Few tips with chocolate don’t add water or milk, and also melt the chocolate on a bath mary (use a pot with boiling water and on top lay a glass or stainless steel bowl and there you put the chocolate so it doesn’t burn the way it did the second time. Keep the recipes coming and a second try 🥰☕️

Also if the water bath doesn’t work for you you can melt the chocolate slowly in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time and stirring between each interval. I usually end up burning myself when I try the double boiler method so I prefer the microwave

I’m loving your vlogs! I just finished The Starless Sea today. It was also my most anticipated book of the year, and I’m glad to say the writing is just as lush and lovely as The Night Circus. I enjoyed it and definitely want to reread it. Merry Christmas and thanks for being such a joyous and kind presence on BookTube.

Your chocolate siezed. Heat water and put a bowl over the pan (don't let the water touch the bowl) and melt slowly. Or use the microwave. Heat in 10 second intervals and stir

Ugh I love your vlogs truly. Also thanks for reviewing the tea! I recently moved to El Paso Texas and spicy is a way of life here lol. This past summer I got a slushy off of a food truck and it had some sort of hot sauce in it. I had never had a spicy slushy before but let me tell you, ya girl is hooked!! so I am definitely gunna have to try chili in my hot chocolate now, thanks so much for the recommendation! Side note: I feel like KZfaqrs suffer from the "no one wants to see this syndrome" have you noticed that? they'll say, 'I skipped the part where I did xyz, because you guys don't wanna see that boring stuff again...' and I'm like WE DO! We watch your channel because we love whatever you do! Please never feel like you shouldn't include 'boring work' because we may not be interested... I personally enjoy the everyday 'uneventfulness' of a vlog. You pick good music and wear pretty sweaters

Video number 160. I always love watching your videos! I miss them, in fact. But, I really wanted to read my books for a while before coming back to KZfaq videos this way (haven't read much, though). I still watch newer videos when they get posted, but I thought it would be good to focus on my reading for a while because I read nothing while I watched Jadee's videos and I don't know how long it took me to get through them all!! LOL I bought The Toy Makers with the intention of reading it, but once I realized there weren't that many chapters, which meant that the chapters were super long, I lost interest in this book. I don't know if I will ever read it at this point. I also bought a Grimms fairytales book and gave up on it because the stories were boring but I wanna try to keep going in order of appearance anyway. One day I will get to the rest, but not this year. See you tomorrow!

Double boiler is probably what is going wrong. You get a metal bowl and put it on top a boiling sauce pan.

I don't think I've seen you mention it before but I massively recommend the Keeper of the Lost Cities series by Shannon Messenger. It's an amazing middle grade series that I recommend to anyone who will listen 🤣

I recently watched RachhLoves (on her RachhLovesLife channel) doing those hot chocolate bombs in a Testing TikTok Christmas Baking Hacks video and apparently you have to do two layers of the chocolate, it failed with just one. Maybe you can find some hints on how to do them successfully in that video :)
