I'm in the middle of the first book and honestly I was hooked with the very first page. if you like percy jackson, you'll love this series! the plot isn't really the same, but the tone and mood is just so magical and wonderful... so yes I'd definitely give it a try 😂

I started reading Keeper's of the Lost Cities because of you. I started on May 6th and I'm already on book 6... That's an average of one book every 2ish days. Can't stop won't stop. I almost wished I spaced it out like you did but I can literally not put these books down. Having to wait until the end of the year for book 8 might kill me.

If you're going hiking in scotland you're gonna need some waterproof over-trousers. They're an extra layer that goes over your trousers when it rains and trust me they will save your life!

I enjoyed Wicked Saints well enough, but the gothic- Slavic culture and atmosphere carried it for me. The plot, however, was SCREAMING for help. And I'm just generally a sucker for any culturally infused fantasy. For a debut, though, I think it shows good promise, and I'd be open to trying more of Emily Duncan's books in the future if the premise caught my interest.

I tried reading Wicked Saints, but had to put it down. It needed about three more rounds of editing before publication. I agree that the author has promise, but this one was too underdeveloped.

Yayyy a weekend reading vlog! Congrats on reading 600+ pages! I am hoping to slowly continue Keeper of the Lost Cities series as well and recently checked out number two from the Library. I loved getting views of Manhattan and all of the food looked delicious. I'd hang out a lot on the chaise too if I had one. How exciting that your Scotland trip isn't too far away. I don't know why, but for me too the expectations while entering Elantris were really low and it ended up blowing my mind (and before Oathbringer, it was the first ever book where I actually did shipped the ship, usually Sanderson's love plots are meh to me). Happy reading!

I seriously look forward to these weekly reading vlogs from you, and you could never make one "too long" for me. I actually like to play your reading vlogs in the background while I'm reading because I find it inspiring. FYI - Brandon Sanderson did write a novella called "The Emperor's Soul" which takes place elsewhere in the Elantris world. It was a 5-star read for me. And there are pretty consistent rumors that he's going to be writing a sequel to Elantris at some point. I'm glad you're enjoying Elantris, I loved it, too, and which more Sanderson fans would read and rave about this one.

When I go hiking, I always recommend a good pair of pants that aren't made of too soft fabric; if you slip, then you're more likely pick up leaves and little bits of grass/whatever from the forest floor. (I'm assuming you're going to an area with a forest?? Because usually hiking = forest of some kind.)

Great vlog! I can barely see when picking out glasses lol my eye sight is so bad. It basically a guessing game when picking out glasses. Another thing is that I can’t stand anything near or in my eyes. Lights and drops are the worst! I don’t even want to touch my own eyes. I don’t like anyone else messing with them lol a fantastic phobia of mine ugh. Your blue and yellow striped blouse is so cute! Where has been your favorite place to eat in NY? It all looks so yummy. Hope you guys love Scotland! I've been there a couple of times and loved it! Actually going next month with the fam. We're off to a more isolated place and apparently its near the setting of the mountains they used for the Hogwarts grounds and the lake too. I'm so hyped! And girl, I feel ya about the latest GOT ep. So much excessive packaging with those supplements.. You're better off with a whole-food multivitamin or nutrient blend - things your body actually recognises rather than synthetic crap that has been shown you just pee out. Everyones promoting those kinds of things lately, its really disappointing how easy it is for influencers to becomes salespeople for junk that doesnt do anyone any good.. Perhaps good intentions, but.. keep your integrity. Still love the vlog! Best booktube vlogs for sure

I had Such high hopes for Wicked Saints, Everything it’s about is what I love in stories and the aesthetic was so perfect but then I was so... bored... I didn’t care about any of the characters and it just felt so archetypal and unoriginal. Even the ending left me cold. I was so let down!!! Glad I’m not the only one
