This indeed an eclectic range of books! Glad you loved Demon Copperhead. I read it before reading David Copperfield and they did enhance one another for me.

I was surprised how much I did enjoy both Demon and Violeta. Both five star! Going to be a long but great Sunday here! Three big special events plus church woot woot! Happy st Patrick day too.

Dickens is one of my favorite authors and someone recently recommended Demon Copperhead. I am very intrigued by it!

If you’ve read David Copperfield you’ll love following along with Demon- it’s great retelling (Uriah Heep for instance is named “U-haul” in Demon. It’s definitely Kingsolvers best work!

i am so happy you enjoyed demon copperhead! reading it so close to david copperfield would be a fun experience. there was so much overlap in the stories and names!

Happy Easter. I'm also reading Pax, but it's a very different book. My Pax is a history of Rome by Tom Holland.

I read David Copperfield last summer, so I definitely want to get to Demon Copperhead this year.

I tried reading Ulysses and couldn't stand it. It dragged on and on. I wound up dnf'ing. Good wrap up and lots of good books. New subscriber! Happy reading!

Yes i personally don’t think I need to finish Ulysses- I can appreciate what it is and move on now- welcome! 🤗

Sounds like a somewhat mixed month of reading so far. I’ve appreciated what I’ve read of James Joyce’s works so far, but I wouldn’t say I’ve enjoyed them 😅. Portrait of a Lady is also on my TBR and will hopefully get to it this year 🤞. Thanks for sharing and hope the rest of your March is full of great reading!
