But it is unrealistic in that it basically copies his speech. Russia and America don't have similar government structures. The President can't dissolve the country. It is outside of his powers as the executive. Maybe the Legislative branch could do it, but there would be no true precident other than the Civil War, which resulted in the breakaway states being reintegrated and prevented from leaving again.

At the end of Season 4 of The Man in the High Castle, in 1964, Hawthorne Abendsen, having lost his wife and his entire collection of films from the multiverse thanks to American Reichsführer John Smith, went through the multiverse portal built by the Nazis in the Poconos, arrived in another universe resembling ours and spent the next 25 years there. At the end of this period, he (or more likely the children whom he fathered in this new world) recorded this film, then escaped that universe (since America was divided and overrun by the Reds) and settled in ours, and finally uploaded it here today. 😂

Maybe these would be the countries that could come out of this. Also in this scenario, Alaska becomes part of Canada but the USSR claims it as it's own creating tension between the two. American Federation - the largest country that came out of the former US which spans from area once known as New England all the way to the state once known as Idaho. It is considered to be the true successor to the United States of America and is the strongest country that came out of the former USA. However, it has become more authoritarian is hell bent to reform the United States of America. It also kept a good amount of the USA's nuclear weapons after it's dissolvment. It's capital is Washington DC and it's biggest city is New York. Dixie Federation - a spiritual successor to the Confederate States of America. It contains every single state from the CSA with the sole exeption of Texas. It has also added the territory of Puerto Rico as it's own. It has chosen the path democracy and is one of the biggest rivals of the American Federation. It has strict laws against racism. It has the third biggest military in the region and also has a good amount of nuclear weapons. It's capital is Richmond and it's biggest city is Jacksonville. Republic of Texas - considered to be the true rival and enemy of the American Federation only behind the Soviet Union. It and the Dixie Federation are extreamly good allies to each other. Texas has also taken the states once known as Oklahoma, New Mexico, and bit of eastern Arizona. Due to it not only being threatened by the American Federation but also Mexico, it forced itself to have the second biggest military in the region and also possesses nuclear weapons. It's capital is Austin and it's biggest city is Houston. Republic of Utah - this country is one of the American Federations biggest allies. It's territory is no different then when it was a state and is considered to be the most strict country in North America. Despite this, it doesn't want to join the American Federation due to some political differences. It's military might isn't exactly the strongest but is still shouldn't be underestimated and possess nuclear weapons. It's capital and biggest city is Salt Lake City. People's Republic of Pacifica - this is the only country that broke away from the USA to adapt Communism. Despite this, it to wishes to reform the United States of America. However, it and the American Federation do have political differences on how a reformed USA should be runned. The country is made up of the former states once known as Washington and Oregon. It's military is very strong and even does military trainings and operations with the American Federation and the Republic of Utah. It possess nuclear weapons. It's capital is Salem and it's biggest city is Seattle. Republic of California - this country is wildly different than any of the other countries that came out of the former USA. It has a parliamentary system of government with both a President and a Prime Minister. It's territory is not only comprised the former state of California but also includes Nevada, all of Arizona that isn't owned by Texas, and Hawaii. It chose a path of economy and living rather than military might making it's cities extreamly tecnoligiclly advanced comparable to nations like Japan. Though, California has to bare the title as the weakest military of all the countries that came out of the USA. Despite this, has a pretty impressive defense army and chose to keep a few nukes for protection. Due to it having enemies on it's North and South Borders (Pacifica and Mexico), it, Texas, and the Dixie Federation chose to work together against them. It's capital is Sacramento and its biggest city is is Los Angeles.

This is so heartbreaking, I see it as both realistic and not in many ways. Humility is not something American leaders are known for, but I've always dreaded the day when something so terrible and unexpected could happen to our nation that even they would have to grieve alongside the people. If ever America fell, for any reason, I'd hold my head down and cry, but I'd move on to the next nation and live on, forever a natural American citizen.
