im being tranied on both real estate and mortgage buy a guy that i personally know and im 16 years old and im being trained untill i get a job ethier in real estate and mortgage broker the guy i know said i can either be a deleveloper , estate agent , mortgage broker or i can do all he does all of them but i would stick with estate agent and mortgage broker but with real estate its such a fun job me and the guy that i know is checking out properties and meeting clients real estate is such a fun and enjoyable job i dont get paid now but im being trained untill i start as a full time estate agent

I am a licensed General Insurance agent; I am thinking to get my mortgage license and I was wondering can I still hold my general insurance license while doing mortgages. I do have connections through my Insurance license so If I got my mortgage license can I still be able to do both

I quit my job in August. I am always interest in real estate and mortgage. So I took online classes for RE and NMLO and passed both. I can’t decide which field to go or both and this video really helpful! Thanks a lot

Can you rent property and sell real estate at the same time in BC? As a first time student - I'm struggling to choose between real estate and property management as my first license to study. Do people just take both of them? Can we even do that?

Real estate agents also have to split their commission with their brokerage so they don't get that whole amount they probably get somewhere between 65% and 75% of that commission and then of course they have to pay taxes as well

Awesome video. Which one has a larger earning potential? I currently have a medium sized team and we are on our way to sell 70+ homes this year. Been at this for 6 years now as an agent and started my team in 2018. But the expenses to operate are high! I also haven’t been on a vacation in years lol. Hope to hear back from you.

@@t.williamgiaquinta1421 realtor side is more fun for me. Being a lender requires you kissing up to realtors 24/7 for their clients. Also being on call and the in depth you have to.go.for.being a lender is too.much for.me

@@gavinarredondo4003 gotcha thanks for answering just accepted a job at a company called loan steady and they are paying for my training I am studying for my NMLS Exam and getting into this industry because I want to provide more for my family any advice You have have to pass the first time I was only given 14 days before the exam and I just finished my 20 hour mandatory sessions

@@t.williamgiaquinta1421 good luck on passing your first time. The test is very hard , I passed tbe second time by 1 percent. It is a good industry but it takes a while to see any more and the work life balance sucks. I am also a self generating LO

Banks pay a salary and you get a monthly bonus. I’m not sure how a brokerage firm works though.

this is a very common combination in real estate. It is NOT a conflict of interest to help the same client to buy a house and help him with the financing :) Yaana

yes you can, We suggest to start with one license first and after you pass the exam, apply for your second one. This way will be cheaper and faster

@@rular888 i live in toronto where housing and condo prices are more expensive. So i completed my full first year in the business in November 2021. I made i a little over 130k after commission splits with my brokrage, as a real estate agent. Then as a mortgage agent i made 50k in the year. You could definitely make more as a real estate agent than as a mortgage agent, but its good to do both because you make more money on a transaction and because some mortgage brokerages have salary pay ( while being a real estate agent is %100 commission pay ). I found it faster to get a mortgage license then my real estate license too. I also had a few friends make way more then 130k as a real estate agent in there first year. So in conclusion real estate agent make more but if you want to be as filthy rich as possible do both 😂🤑

i started with real estate for the first ten years and then switched to mortgage license. Mortgage is a pyjama job :), no running around, work from home, passive income...My whole family is in real estate, even my son who is 18 now getting his license. You learn lots about investing when you get into the business that creates passive income for you so you dont have to work :)

Hi, I'm interested in becoming a real estate agent in BC. Currently I'm doing my MBA in Vancouver. I have a question in real estate there are two programs offered by UBC one Real estate TRADING SERVICE and other one is RENTAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SERVICES. What's the difference between these two? And which one do you suggest for a starter? Please answer my questions and thank you!!!

both are two very different licenses. Real Estate is my favorite as it opens so many opportunities for you to learn from the inside of the industry, everything about investing and cash flows. Very high commissions also. Plus we have tons of great connections all over BC for you guys with Top teams and Mentors. Rental property management license is to work with rentals properties. It will keep you busy and creates passive income.

Unless you co-broker with an agent in another province you can only work with clients in the province you live in and are licensed in

if you live in BC, you just need to register with UBC for a supplemental mortgage course, your exam will be shorter and fewer assignments to submit. No special requirements, just another exam. You can have both active licenses at the same time.

My agents are licensed as both a Realtor and MLO. We earn more than 1% on the loan origiantion. She is referring to the Origination fee of 1% - must not be in California.

....mortgage is easeir and make 1% of the deal? - Hell no. you are competing with banks/monoline lenders/other mortgage brokers - not as much effort? you don't make 1% of the deal really. usually you make 0.5% and you also need to pay brokerage firm/referal fees/other expenses so basically you make about 0.25% of the deal. same schedule? Yes and no. banks are closed saturdays and sundays, but mortgage broker still work over the weekend.
