After a very emotional week, it’s the final day of the week. Has Tanya met her targets for the families? There are lots of tears on the final day. And when they go back home, will they manage to build on the progress they’ve made so far? In all cases - the answer is a resounding yes. The Cooksleys are thrilled that Lewis is eating a roast dinner, and they are learning not to baby him, the Turners’ daughters are behaving well and not throwing tantrums. The quality of the families’ relationship has improved leaps and bounds. And Nicola has her bed back to herself. Dante is going to sleep by himself in his very own bed, and sleeping through the night.
Presenter Claudia Winkleman guides the audience through a week-long journey at TV’s first ever child and parent behaviour refuge.
During their stay at the House of Tiny Tearaways, three families live together, while child psychologist Dr Tanya Byron works with both parents and children to solve issues around fussy eating, sleeping habits, and public tantrums - and she'll challenge the parents to get to the root of the problems they're experiencing raising their children.
With Dr Tanya Byron's help and advice, the hope is that the families will learn useful pedagogy techniques and gain new insights, giving them long-lasting support though the parenting challenges they're facing.
