Calm and reassuring as always. 1) I understand that you were the head of military intelligence. I wonder how you go about making sure that foreign intelligence agencies (principally CIA) are not penetrating the high ranks of Pakistan Army? Pakistanis are really concerned that sometimes some of our military leaders seem to be advancing the interests of foreign powers rather than those of the Pakistani people. The current situation is a good one for asking this question. In the future there will be leaks from the US or documents will be declassified in 25 years and we will learn the truth. But in real time what assurances do we have that there is no foreign intelligence penetration? Wikileaks showed Maulana Fazl ul Rahman literally grovelling to sell his services to the US. How do we assure ourselves that that is also not going on in the sensitive organs of the State? and 2) how do we re-balance equitably the power structures inside the country? The Army, particularly the Chief, have enjoyed powers far beyond what the Constitution envisioned. What "nuclear weapon", to follow your story, can people of Pakistan acquire so that military is discouraged from subjugating the people to their whims that has happened so many times in Pakistan? How do we make sure that they focus on professional military matters and do not meddle in the government policy as the present chief has done since Imran Khan took office. The Chief even took credit for doing so when he spoke to the officers of the Lahore Garrison. Is the military chief properly qualified and empowered by the Constitution to force on the government opinions on the economy, on foreign policy, on domestic policy, on NROs to be given to convicted criminals, on who shall be in the Election Commission. Is it his job to help the elected Prime Minister by "holding his finger and show him how to walk"? What are limits that the military is willing to recognize and respect for itself in the National Affairs? What did the military see its role to be when the people were being brutalized for three days by an illegal government of crooks and criminals? Are these not the people the Army has sworn to protect? I don't know if I will receive an answer but I hope that this will be food for thought for those who really want to know what the people want.

The comparisons shown on social media or Indian occupied Kashmir and nawaz-zardari occupied Pakistan are identical. My heart aches when I see rangers shelling at protesters. Privately peoeple anger and indignation is beyond description.

Salam sir, I have a question to ask? Why did we make Nuclear booms and for what???? It’s been 60 years our Kashmir brother and sisters are being killed for no reason. We made the nuclear system or new types of booms for decoration? We have understood very well that our army is going to do nothing to free Kashmir….. because our army have no heart, they are heartless which we saw 3 days ago. Shame on Rangers for firing on innocent people of Pakistan. We should stop doing programs on Pakistan day, Kashmir day, yeh day or woh day..

Normally, I agree with retired gen. Amjad's analysis, while they are very basic, yet interesting. I did not listen to this video because I am not sure, shouldn't the focus be what to do right now? It feels like your analysis are becoming very basic and does not contain any deep analysis, root causes, mitigation ideas and realistic recommendations. Maybe it is my fault to expect more especially from Armed forces, active or retired. What I am seeing is country is secondary (allegedly) even for establishment. That maybe the perception but this is a turning point for establishment as well. They took a oath to defend the country from internal and external enemies. Wars are fought in a different fashion now. Yet the answer people hear is, keep them out of politics? Is this politics that is happening with the country or a controlled chaos? It is time for establishment to show real maturity and right actions that may have tough consequences, yet will put country towards a independence. Pakistan Nuclear program is a real fascinating story....Great effort and dedication by the Armed Forces, by Engineers and Scientists, by smugglers like Sieth Abid, by bankers like Agha Hassan Abidi....and many many more. Above all by ISI and Ishaq Khan . Have been following this story since we set up Kahoota..what an incredible story...and during all this process, no one sold out. What an incredible way we conducted the test at Chaghi....A black granite mountain turning yellow white before our eyes..for every one to watch and witness. Feel so proud..brings tears. A true reflection of the capabilities of this nation when it truly decides to achieve something. Gratitude to the men and officers of our Armed Forces who despite huge financial constraints have maintained balance against our enemies. And in the end...a great question mark....If the Armed Forces and ISI can manage to achieve so much in this sphere...why it did not manage the situation in political sphere...They were and are aware of the skeletons in the closets of the Sharifs and Zardaris...Why did they not put a stop to their loot and plunder during the last 30 years. I was in falls church Va about 20 miles from Washington DC I was working in food delivery service, So I went to one of the office and there was an arab Egyptian he asked me where I was from I said I am Pakistani,he laughed and said in a joke that we afraid of the Indean bomb and said to him,You know what We are ganna kick the Indeans asses! And everybody started laughing at him! And,Alhamdulillah on May 28th I picked up the washington post and I told every body now we are even! And all Americans and Western were shaking from fear! I was a little boy in 1985 then when we already new we have neuclare program and our big brother r Major Ifthe A Khan and Major Ijaz khan and some other elders you to tell is that we are capable and that's why I knew we will do the test in,shallah we have everything inshallah except for Honest and faithful people ,May Allah give us more leaders like Imran Khan ,Allamah Muhammad Iqbal and Of course Muhammad Ali Jannah! Nobody ever discusses how India obtained its nuclear weapons, but everyone rants and raves about Pakistan's. Even though India is still unable to or willfully permits uranium smuggling, the reason is that Pakistan's corrupt and criminally insane political leaders have never stood up for Pakistan and have instead allowed the other to roll over them. It was IK who stood up and looked in their eyes & defended Pakistan's honor.
