Real Life Review of Intex River Run I Sport Tube

We took this tube down the Huron River in Ann Arbor, MI. I hit a bunch fo rocks and did not suffer any damage. I'd say it's durable enough for a weekend warrior and for only $20 shipped on amazon it is a great deal.

Seriously, this was such a great review. Greatly appreciate you for this. I got the Cheaper Ozark and I'm gonna get this one as well to compare them. Plus im worried the Ozark will fail us honestly loll we shall see. But thank you again.

You might consider getting a dry bag to carry stuff but the easiest way to carry keys would probably be a special pocket in your shorts or a little waist pack or something like that. I like other comments clarifying the 8 grommets are intended to secure the safety line. My first thought when you mentioned potentially connecting to 8 other tubes was "The 8 grommets are probably intended to give you 8 choices of places to connect." "Back paddling" sounds like a good way to avoid irritation to the arms. Cup holder: A commenter suggested using a foam can holder inside the depression in the tube. I guess you could also use a bottle that has a ring or caribiner on it so the beverage couldn't escape. (: I just got a couple of these on a summer close-out for $4 each but I haven't used them yet. Thanks for the info. I thought it was cute the way you tossed the directions aside. (;

I bought short plastic kayak paddles, and the inflation valve doesn’t mess with my arms. The XL version of this tube has a built in zipper pocket for keys and stuff.

Just thru out two 5 year old ones for leaking too much.paid $22. Each back then.Just ordered 3 of the red ones $15 each.one for cooler.store in shade when not in use and don't throw on top of stuff in winter, that might have sharp tools.lol

The 8 black "connectors" as you call them are not for connecting 8 other tubes (although I suppose they could be used as such); they are for running the long rope around the outside of the tube for safety. Many people use these tubes on whitewater and the rope around the outside acts as a "chicken line" as whitewater rafters say. Also as far as paddling. I find it easier to back paddle and use the "butt up" technique when back paddling so your arms don't rub against the side causing a painful condition we call tube burn. I am a pretty short guy and have never had any issues with my arms rubbing on any of the sides, and I sue my tube on a class 1-3 river with lots of paddling and maneuvering required.
