@@Beam3178 Normal summoning a monster in face-up defense position is an anime-only rule not presented in the official TCG/OCG. The two are playing by the anime's Battle City rules. In the TCG/OCG master rules, you can only normal summon a monster in face-up attack position or set a monster in face-down defense position.

@@rell660 I’m more of a magic fan but I still like to remember the early times I used to play Yu-Gi-Oh. I’m not very well-versed and up-to-date with the latest Yu-Gi-Oh meta-game. But I believe if we used the new cards you couldn’t say “ you just activated my trap card“ As trap cards or a thing of the past.

Japan already does; hololens technology. Something that has been deveolped and in the works for a while. Look it up, there's tournaments that were hosted debuting it, think of as a real life "duel gazer". The images only show up if you wear one and they come fully loaded with autonomous interactions and effects with attacks and the like.

There are two things that would have made this duel phenomenal: 1) Having another soul speak to the Dark Magician player like Atem to Yugi 2) Editing animations of each monster being summoned and attacking into the video like in Duel Links

This was actually very great quality. All the sound effects and voice overs were great. One suggestion is that when Alex drew his last card, maybe it could’ve showed his hand multiple times while drawing similar to the first episode with Yami
