Hi !!! I enjoy all your analyses you make on every game!!! its really awesome, and you should keep up the good work!!!! I watched some of the analyses on the el classico, As Roma vs Liverpool, and many more, where I got myself to the point to actually see why my team, Real Madrid ( i've been a strong support for more than 25 yrs), plays in such a way. It makes a lot of sense, to see the advantages nd disadvantages of every tactic followed. In my opinion, I think Liverpool should have kept the formation, instead of switching to a 4-5-1 after Salah's unfortunate, forceful injury. Sorely, because the initial tactic they played in the first 30 min worked really well. I feel, after the injury, and the immediate change in line up, gave Madrid the feeling that Liverpool just lost a vital player, and they have now become a weaker team (This is mentality thoughts that can change games instantaneously, and that's what happened after the lineup change). Of course, yes, Salah has been superbly formidable this season, hands down, and the tactic probably had a major dependence on him. But so did every player in Liverpool, thanks to Klopp. Keeping the line up with any other player, I feel would have kept the rhythm that they started with, and ultimately made a difference, (considering also, if Karius didn't have butter fingers, and carelessness, but put this aside for now). Madrid played the same as always. played with full backs attacking, and had Kroos and Modric later on in the game to change the rhythm of the game. In the beginning, I knew this was a bit of a gamble, because they are now read like a book, by every team. A prime example, Juventus and Bayern on the 2nd leg matches. For this reason, I really believe, that yes, salah's injury was the game changer, but not because he left, but because of Klopp's mistake of changing the line up. I know its really hard to see Klopp lose a final for the fifth time like this, but in my opinion, he is definitely the best manager this season, hands down. Simply because, within 2 and a half years, he was able to bring a degenerated team that wasn't performing at all, to a team that made it to the Champions League final.

I think it is too unfair to downplay the effect of Salah's injury in the game. Salah was one of the star players of his team, and the coach the not have any star substitute... And was forced to make a change in the first half, which no coach ever wants to do. Salah is not a one man team, but any opponent will defend differently when he is on with Mane and Firmino. (Though I really wanted Madrid to win because I love Zidane).

How can Liverpool be more defensive when they create 3x the chances Real created? The gegen pressing works to stop Madrid from freely building up their attacks. You're making it sound like Liverpool were defensive but somehow took the ball from Madrid and managed to create 3x the chances. Liverpool were really giving it a go and since they can't play like Barcelona or City, they moved the ball to forwards as quickly as they can and tried to score. Madrid was trying to hold on to the ball and slow down the tempo and establish themselves in the game. Then when Liverpool fell behind thanks to the keeper and Salah was no longer there, Madrid could sit back and hold the possession and try to break while Liverpool had to chase the ball. I guess if Keylor Navas gifted Liverpool a couple of goals, now the title would be Klöpp's ingenious tactics?? I detest it when pundits associate the results with brilliant tactics. Mourinho can defend and nick games 1:0, but being out-shot be the opponent. Well if it wasn't for DeGea or a bit of luck it could easily be 0:0 1:1 or a 1:2 to the opposition. Hind sight is 20:20. If it was someone else that had dislocated their shoulder then you could argue that it was accidental but considering Salah is Liverpool’s best player this season and Real Madrid were having trouble defending you would see the motive. If Liverpool's front 3 press with high pressure and that's all Liverpool have I believe,since their attack mainly focuses on counter attack and its all about passing the ball to forwards and scoring, how come Zidane not think of having 3 midfielders rather than playing isco at covering Hernandez but having a sound control in midfield by striking such transitions(midfield oriented, where you'd stretch Liverpool) during the game might've ended Liverpool's early pressure. Salah and Mane sure will drop deep but this again will lessen the threats imposed on box.
