It didn’t wake up because it was not designed to survive for more than 14 days.

Now I think making the lunar lander alive using the remaning propellar was much more important than the hyped hope test that was scheduled, we could have brought in more science than the media publicity.

When the Plutonium 38 heater has been used earlier, why isro didn’t use the system . China had used this, so why spend so much and operate only for one day compared to many days or years with P38 heating? Just curious.

Plutonium heater has been used by the USA and China. This is an old technology but quite successful in keeping the critical instruments warm in minus 40 degrees centigrade. Why did the scientists decided to not use this simple way is not explained.
