This is a very good video.. I’m curious about the singing belt what is it? I tried to google and all I got was articles and videos on belting. Is the belt like those Velcro strap things,?

Great interview! What do you guys think of using flageolet to train the upper range?

I was this many days old when I learned about how to breath with your low diaphragm. Even more engaging the low back muscles. I have been doing it too high and having problems for years. And years. Every once in a while I would do it right and be like, wow. Now I can do it right waaaay more often, and actually know what is happening.

As everyone said, this's just fantastic Dan- many thanks man. Also, would totally watch a show where the two of ya'll just talked shit to each other for an hour. Pitch it to HBO!! One thing I wonder about- Alex said his teacher never really talked about the cords, larynx, etc. But in that interview with jerome hines, Pavarotti talks explicitly about "getting the cords to bite", etc. What he says is quite similar to what that coach Jack Livigni talks about often, if you've ever come across him. Was that maybe from a different teacher, or did Alex maybe not need those adduction lessons, you think??
