I felt the most shocking culture gap is about the question “when someone is down, what would you say to him/her” it got me really interested coz I’m imagining what I’d say, as someone born and raised in China. I was thinking maybe “cheer up” or “this too, will pass” or “it’s not the end of the world” but when Grace gave the answer “do you wanna talk about it”, omagosh I was sooo touched. I’m not sure if this was the intention of the question, if yes then there’s so much we need to learn from western style of communication! Giving the others a chance to talk about what happened first instead of just blindly casting your view on the others

Can Sun ya lol I am still a highschooler TwT and i was really nervous bc of that (and also bc i was afraid getting voted out)so i think that was why
I honestly thought Annabelle was one of the moles because of the hesitation in the way she sang the ABCs and also because she didn't remember the pledge of allegiance. In high school, it's normal to still have students cite the pledge of allegiance during pep rallies and other school-wide events. At the very least, I expected a "right hand over your heart." Honestly, this is pretty hard to tell. Maybe if there were ABCs from California, I'd have a better chance of fishing the mole out. Loving this series! Great content as always, Kevin.

I felt bad for the New Yorker. He had a Chinatown accent which is impossible for outsiders to replicate.
Honestly this is really tricky because you have a couple people that didn't move to the US until they were in elementary so they might get voted out if we're being really strict with who you would consider an ABC and who you wouldn't
@samsam.t38363 жыл бұрын
I think it would be pretty fun if you can do an episode of picking out students who study abroad only for grad school from a bunch of international students who finished college/uni, staying in foreign country besides Chinese for relatively long time, like more than 5 yrs (or vice versa)

HAHA I'm Australian born Chinese and I thought it was Jin and possibly Darian at first due to accent. You can't fake Jenny's "Englishness" and Ashley got me. Jasmine asks amazing questions and Annabelle I thought was the second one as it went on because of the way she sung the alphabet, her style and especially the way she carries herself.

Accent now a days is hard to tell because someone can be fluent in any language. The way I tell is if they know the local slang term. From east coast to west coast they all got their own slang terms. Mostly similar but some different.

I enjoyed this, but I feel like you should've had actual ABCs and international students only, rather than also include people who were born in China and moved here when they were older as "ABC." That's not what ABC means and it makes the game confusing because people who moved here later have different experiences than us who were born in the US Like for example, the mole can just say that they moved here when they were older and then say that's why they don't have basic knowledge about things. Which is what #3 did. I feel like it's such a cop out lol?? Also ABCs can't ask certain questions bc then it won't apply to those "ABCs" who moved here later. Hopefully this makes sense
