Welcome to the gripping world of true crime as we delve into the intense narrative of the FBI Files Movie of the Week Series. Episode 4 uncovers the chilling story of Daryl Gordon, a self-proclaimed restaurant owner whose crime spree spans cities and leaves a trail of terror in its wake.
🕵️ Join us as we recount the Palm Beach incident in 1974, where Daryl Gordon, later revealed as the infamous Paul John Noles, attempted to abduct Sarah Mitchell at gunpoint. Little did she know, this encounter would set off a nationwide manhunt involving law enforcement agencies from various states.
🚨 The pursuit intensifies as investigators connect Noles to a series of heinous crimes, including a double homicide in Connecticut. Hostage situations, escapes, and high-stakes chases keep audiences on the edge of their seats, revealing the relentless efforts of law enforcement to bring this criminal to justice.
🔍 In this episode, we explore the discovery of Noles' victims and the capture that ultimately ended his reign of terror. Uncooperative during interrogation, Noles left behind a legacy in the form of chilling audio tapes, providing a rare glimpse into the mind of a serial killer.

Lawyers are a real problem, who could protect a serial killer? I don’t care if you’re an attorney or not protecting someone like this makes you almost as nasty as the killer.

Because without that, we would be China. GUILTY, until proven innocent. 99.9% of people are found guilty in their courts. So imagine your son was accused of assault of a kid, and you were with him at the store & are his alibi, but the cops arrest him, & he has to prove not only that he was with you, but that you weren't lying to cover for him. And as I said, they gave a 99.9% conviction rate, so say goodbye to your kid. He's going to false confess, for less harsh treatment of a conviction he's going to get. That's why, we have defense attorneys.

@@penieljesuszuniga Many lawyers are psychopaths. They have a completely warped view of the world - and many of them have no feelings. However, their psychopathy is supported by the legal system itself, which says that, no matter how bad one is, and no matter how horrrible the crime they may have committed, they have the right to a defence lawyer. Anyway, it is really hard to understand that a man stands by the side of a murderer ike that in the specific role of his protector. We, normal people, cannot understand that.

I have NEVER heard of transporting, especially someone this dangerous, in the open back seat of a car under these circumstances. It's pure INCOMPETENCE! Yes, what happened at the road block? The deputy stands in the middle of the road and points his shotgun at the tires of the oncoming vehicle intent in killing him! Hello! Shoot directly at the windshield or get the hell out of there. Then the shotgun jams??? Those pump action shot guns are very reliable. There's so much more to this story than is being admitted to. I just can't imagine the lack of training these cops had. We trained constantly with these weapons, sidearms and shotguns.

The kidnapped cop was very naive to be taken that way. And then he collaborated in the kidnap of a citizen who ended up being murdered. And then they let Gordon bust through a road block - and it was only luck that this didn't lead to the murder of the Vietnam vet who confronted him. And then the final pair of cops can't protect their guns from a known serial killer. Good grief...

Very sad, but I'm really surprised the trooper didn't overpower Gordon from behind. They were both in the back seat while he was driving - all he had to do was wrap his belt around his neck and pull. Easy for me to say, I suppose, but he was a trained policeman. Also a bit gobsmacked that he approached Gordon in the first place, knowing how dangerous he was, and (presumably) without gun in hand.

Hi Elizabeth, Im a bit confused as I dont understand how anyone can live in a society and not be aware of the truth that is Human Psychology, Knowles is/was a true Physiopath and Physiopaths are born with the hippocampus part of the brain reduced in size to the extent that they are incapable of feeling empathy or compassion and if they express it they are acting to hide within society. They are BORN that way, they are completely incapable of seeing the rest of society as being fellow Human Beings, they see them as being things to do with whatever they want. Not all Physiopaths are Serial Killers, many are extremely selfish and greedy multi-millionaires and billionaires, who use people to get what they want IE power and vast sums of money. Sociopaths acquire their Psychopathy via either horrific early childhood abuse or a severe head injury, A classic example of a true Sociopath is the mass murderer known as the Ice Man. Please educate yourself as to why we all behave the way we do as individuals and as a collective. As with a lot of life what we see is an illusion, most time you must do a little digging to find the buried truth. PS To think analytically we must put aside ALL emotions. Stop and think about a so-called Good person, as they cannot help themselves but be a good, person well the very same applies to an indifferent person and a bad person. We are all captives of our own uniquely and independently acquired physiology which we acquire from birth up to the age of 26, when our brain is fully developed.

Why would the trooper approach the VW without his gun drawn if he knew who he was approaching?

Now, how in the hell did that trooper let himself become a hostage? I figure he pulled the VW over because of the APB. He knew he was armed and dangerous. Why the hell didn’t he wait for backup? SMH.

Those bloodhounds are MAGICAL! Finding the scent of a person who merely walked across a road, out of all the other folk who walked across the same road, THE DAY BEFORE! Man, that’s MAGIC, don’t you think? It could be a city crosswalk, where hundreds of people had walked before and since then, and the dog can cut him out of the herd, and follow them where they’d changed directions. That’s amazing! Have you ever wondered what they’re smelling? I have! Does it smell funny? What? I heard a policeman say the dog could, “smell the adrenaline from his sweat pours.” My God, he smells the body, the sweat, AND the adrenaline. In a sniff? That boggles the mind. And, he smells all the other people. I’m done.

The ignorance expressed in this doco is sadly typical, for example, Stockholm Syndrome is only acquired over a long period, and NOT over a mere 24 hours. Another example is the only reason she ( Taylor ) wasn't killed was solely due to the fact she remained calm, polite and obedient., she is not the only survivor of Serial Killers who also survived due to the same reasons, when those traits are displayed to someone with Psychopathy it intellectually disarms them, they do not know what to do with that victim and so often let them live. It is ONLY rare because the vast majority of victims completely lose their minds and freak out or try to fight.
