This is what Realistic Fishing looks like when it's Hot! It is over 90 degrees today but I am out there trying to catch fish. I start out fishing for largemouth bass with Texas Rigs. I try both worms, and craws with no success. Then I switch to a panfish rig and I start catching fish. I catch two big bluegill on a Gulp Alive minnow! I also catch a large bluegill hybrid that is over 9 inches! Fishing can be tricky when it gets hot. I try for bass first, but then I switch to bluegill fishing if nothing is biting. #fishing #realistic

It has definitely been hot as of late. Tried to fish yesterday but the weather was blazing, so I was only able to fish for about 45 minutes before I called it quits. Appreciate the new video. Tight lines and Happy Father's Day to you.

A couple videos back you were using a tiny paddle tail swimbait. I saw some at The Wal-Mart and picked a couple up. Whenever the bass fishing is slow, which is daily lately, I fish the tiny swimbait and slay the panfish. Thanks for the idea and as always Keep it Realistic!

Great video as always. I was in Wisconsin on vacation this past week, and BG-1 jig heads with 1 in gulp minnows got a few little kids in my family on their first fish. I never would have been using those if not for your videos. Keep up the great work

Still hunting Crappie. Catching 2-3 inch bluegill at 7-8 feet🤦🏼‍♂️ I broke off 3 times yesterday on the 8 to 18 foot ledge trying to find them from the bank 😂.. Major heat wave next week not looking good. Great video as always.

Just got my first bass of 2024, and on opening day too (Saturday, June 15th). 13 incher caught on a wacky rig Yum Dinger (pearl and pumpkin).

Get some rubber caulk boots from Hoffmans in Idaho. You will have the ability to get way out on them logs. Us bank anglers need every advantage we can get

Sup Alex, great changeup, I was getting skunked yesterday, switched to 1 1/2" swimbait(says 2" but?) and a guy laughed and said what supposed to catch with that, I cought some bluegills and he kept making comments.. I laughed as leaving said what did you catch all day? Nothing🤣😂, tyvm tc 🎣

The tail on the squirrel tail floats upward so anytime you drag it and stop it it's gonna float tail up

I almost never fish for Bass intentionally. I fish intentionally for Bluegills and I catch Bass as I do so. I've caught up to five pound Bass while fishing for Bluegills. This is especially true fishing top water with small popping bugs on a Fly Rod. Bass will grab it quick as a Bluegill will. This way I catch some kind of fish no matter what! I'm 72 and done this since a teenager of about 14. Much harder to catch fish in hot Summer unless Cat Fishing. I fish Spring and Fall exclusively.

Am gonna try to go in the morning when it's half-ish bearable to be out there. Fish for a couple hours before it gets up there to the scalding 90s and super sticky 70 dew points. May fish the local lake dock for bluegill and see if I can coax an early morning bass out of there. If not, will switch to a panfish set up and see if any big bullgills and/or shellcracker can be caught.
