I liked how Listener wasn't immediately ok with it. After all it wasn't just snapping. It was personal comments about the Listener's character and the way they enjoy things. If an so said that to me I wouldn't wanna watch or do nerdy stuff with them anymore. Either I have to smother emotion and enjoyment or I'm just gonna be irritating to them and self conscious that they find me embarrassing.

What would be a great alternate take on this would be if this had gone on for a couple weeks. He noticed his SO no longer had that spark. He caught them biting back a laugh during a movie and realised they were trying to mask their true self around him. Then he tells them how much he misses the actual them.

Another ending that I've been thinking is that listener forgiving and letting it off the hook for now but beginning to be serious with a slight smile only everytime around the boyfriend but being their true self once they're alone. And then one day, the boyfriend heard a laugh from their bedroom and took a peak to see listener laughing to something on their phone so he walked in to see why are they laughing and the listener suddenly stopped and just smiled slightly at him, making him realize that he fcked up so bad.

How can i not be self conscious around you knowing you are just tolerating me? Yeah. How does the Listener character know which version is his true feeling now? The negative version said in a hightened moment or the nicer version when he's trying to go back to the status quo? How could they trust that that comment won't be brought up again next time things get heated?

First of all: amazing 😍😍🐺🐺😫😫 Secondly: I would just change. I wouldn’t speak anything of it, and even with all that they said, I would still change myself to fit their ideal. Third: I was immediately apologizing at the end for hurting them, because of my personality. Fourth: when they said the things like, “you can yell, be angry, hit me,” I quite literally said, “I’m not going to be like my mom” But anyway, amazing!!!!! Lyylylyyllyyy ❤️❤️😍

Another reason I can't really get behind this makeup convo is that he was still showing those negative opinions about Listener even when he was being concerned. A day when they find lots of things they are excited about and interested in is 'on their worst days'? Probably not the phrasing you want in your 'I'm worried about you' moment, y'know? The fact he acknowledged this almost makes it worse. No shade on you. You did a great VA job but I think the relationship depicted needs a bit of work.
