There is that element in your discussion that is at the center, I believe which is also the starting point of what I am a part of. It is a statement that becomes a question. ONLY A FOOL CAN BELIEVE HE CREATED HIMSELF.

Dear Peter, I have watched your teachings about Hinduism. I bought the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanischads the same day. I started studying these books two days ago. About four years ago, I came across a book: the Sutra of the Diamond Cutter, which was then taught by the Buddha. I studied this book four times until I started to understand the hidden potential in all things, or emptiness. As a reference; as a kid I would be able to empty my mind from thoughts, and did it often before falling asleep. I did not know this was unusual. I resonate with the term jnana Yoga a lot. I am a scientist from Germany, working in the natural sciences and Bioinformatics. Since you introduced to me Brahman, I see Brahman in everything. In me, and in the old lady carrying home her groceries or the cat sitting on the street or the flowers, trees, clouds, birds, my mom. I feel EVERY BEING because I am every being. I don't feel anger anymore. I see my Dharma. This is so big. I have the following discussion in my mind: "I need a teacher" - "but I am Brahman, I am the teacher". Do I need a teacher? Is a teacher needed? I appreciate your wisdom, and my Self sees the Self in you. I will continue to listen to your teachings. Much love, Franziska PS: I also LOVE to surf and you're a rad guy, for real, I am you. HOW AMAZING

I’ve experienced vishana multiple times through multiple different methods. At the time, I thought it was an ego death due to my lack of ability to put it into words but wow this is amazing. It’s like a great unzipping. It felt like I was picking my head out of a bucket and I could see the light behind all things. Thank you Mr. Bolland! I’m forever great full for your teaching!

Namaste from India...🙏 Thanks for the video, great information. Why is it so difficult to remain in the consciousness of oneness? one consequence of accepting the non-duality is the fear psychosis. Accepting non-duality is accepting oneness, this means that our individual existence is an illusion and fundamentally there is no difference between us and universe, but its corollary is that there is no one else , there is no other being, there is only one consciousness, for eternity, alone in all of the existence. All the different beings we see, they are same conciousness seperated though time and space. Consciousness is the same, only perception, prespective are different. It can also mean, they are not different beings, they are the same being, i.e. Brahman and this Brahman, is alone in this existence, is eternal, goes through innumerable life forms and loves to live in the world of maya. This realization of our eternal undying nature, coupled with all mortal suffering, and above all, not knowing the cause, beginning and end of our solitary existence creates fear. It feels like an eternal solitary prision. This is my personal experinence, I have realized non-duality through meditation and I can feel its true meaning, but it puts me in a state of fear and lonliness. I don't like the experinece of enlightenment, so I purposefully choose to live in this world of maya, ignorance, world of duality. In the beginning, the truth bothered me so much that i wanted to forget it completely, I was unsure if I'll be able to fade away the realization, but suprising, its not at all difficult to lose yourself again in this maya.

Thank you Chinmay for watching, and for sharing your thoughts and experience. You raise a very important point. Perhaps one could ask, “Who is lonely?”
@cyti007
@cyti007 2 жыл бұрын
@@PeterBollandwho is lonely? Perhaps its difficult to point out exactly who, it will be a difficult debate to accurately determine the true Self, but i think, with available amount of information and perception of the universe, the very nature of consciousness seems to be lonely, alone, as a phenomenon, happening again and again in different life forms, but fundamentally same.

Fascinating! I was puzzled by the meaning of the word 'form' in this context. It took me a few minutes to understand that this isn't Plato's forms. I hope I have it right now - Plato's forms are like blueprints for objects but these forms are transient manifestations of objects?
@PeterBolland
@PeterBolland 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, "form" here simply means a thing, a material form, something embodied. Plato's Eidos (Forms) are a whole 'nother thing.

Hi Alfred. My Dutch is a little (actually, very) rusty, but with the help of Google translator I was able to read your comment. (I was born in the US to Dutch immigrant parents, so I grew up listening to Dutch in the home, but I never learned much). Thanks for watching. It sounds like you're speaking to someone else about me, not to me, so I'll leave you two to it. Again, I appreciate your engagement.

@@PeterBolland hi Peter I thought you were Dutch, are you not? Have you never lived in the Netherlands? I thought you might like it when I approach you in Dutch but that was perhaps an unjust assumption. Sorry for that. I was seven years in the States, mostly California, but I also travelled in a smal campertruck it was in the 90s. I would have liked to talk to you if I had known.
