My son was diagnosed with Schizophrenia at only age 16. It's been so difficult. I really appreciate this movie, and that you shared your perspective. It's nice to get some hopeful stories.

I am French and brought my son to Shawano WI like Canada. My son has grades high in Chem and Calculus at academy. He takes Rexulti 4mg . We needed this to get us through the hospitals. Bon Soir!

Scott Cameron is 29 and he had good care and help too. He 6 pin broke his right ankle. Hope he does better

Any updates on Quentin? Hope he is well. My son would not stay on his meds consistently and he had bad side effects.

Schizophrenia runs in the family. His parents don’t look like they have it, but if you look far back enough, someone in the family for sure had it.

In my family there is an obvious genetic link regarding mental illness. Grandma & sister (BPD) committed suicide. Every member of my family had/has "something". Then the worst happened: my precious daughter developed schizophrenia after graduating HS w/honors; there was no drug use. Her first delusions were about me where she accused me of things I wasn't doing. The parents in this video are so blessed that their son loves & trusts them - and that he allows them into his life. What I'd give for a hug and I love you, momma....

There are numerous studies that suggest a genetic but not exclusive link of schizophrenia. Having a family history of schizophrenia does not necessarily mean one will develop schizophrenia. Research has not identified one single cause of schizophrenia. It is thought that an interaction between genes and a range of environmental factors may cause schizophrenia. Psychosocial factors may also affect the onset and course of schizophrenia. Heavy use of cannabis is associated with an elevated risk of the disorder. Thank you for sharing your experience. May I ask the medication that is working for you? One of our problems is that my son is allergic to antipsychotics. We have been struggling to find the right match. It’s been a long 4 year struggle. The family and friend support is there.

Feel free to present this video to your medical professional for their assessment. We prefer not to disclose specific treatments as we avoid all elements that may be construed as promotional. A treatment plan should be between the medical specialist, the patient, and in some cases the patient’s care givers.

The best thing is to talk to a psychiatrist (or more). Antipsychotics are the only one that can help. Other things like healthly lifestyle, vitamins or for example CBD Oil, are just support but not helping to remove "positive" symthoms.

This was a beautiful mini doc. As a person who takes medication it pisses me off when you refill your medication and you get hit with a "ooh sorry we are out of the medication today (Thursday) and we will not have the medicine back in stock until late Monday or early Tuesday." Gee thanks for forcing me to not have my medication for four plus days.

Try and connect with a mental health agency to ensure u get ur meds...that is not ok.pharmacy polices have gotten worse over the past few years
