I have nothing but the highest admiration for all paramedics and call handlers. When my husband had his cardiac problems they were so reassuring. I pray they and the nurses get a proper pay rise.

Would always want my children to feel they could ring me if they had a job like these wonderful paramedics. Whatever time of night or day.

The first accident was caused by a drug driver going 100mph. The impact of his reckless stupidity was immense. I have zero sympathy for him, some sympathy for the people daft enough to get into a car with him, but a lot of sympathy for the taxi driver and the passengers he hit and killed, and of course the paramedics and other emergency services who remained so professional throughout.. they really REALLY deserve the pay rise the are asking for.

my brother died 4 times as a baby and it was a small town so the same paramedics came each time. Got to the point where they'd stop in the shops to say hi when they saw him. Must have been really hard for them, so much respect.

Our Paramedics, nurses and doctors all do such an amazing hard job.

That last one made me tear up. My son went into cardiac arrest at 1 month old and I had to perform CPR on his tiny little body. He's now 7 years old.

And these heroes are being blamed for striking? Absolutely disgraceful from the Government.

As someone who has survived hanging and overdosing I am so thankful for the ambulance and the care I got the following days. I don't know who found me but I am grateful they did. The NHS nurses and the emergency services deserve so much more credit than they get.

As a teenager who aspires to be a paramedic when older, this just makes me cry so many happy tears. I am so thankful for the people that attend to these calls, so much respect goes out to them. The fact that they can handle such intense moments and not cry tons is just aspiring. They hold it together so well and put on a brave face for the patients. Truly, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I can't wait to be the person you are when I grow a bit more up.

one of my close friends became a paramedic a few years ago and she got to help deliver a baby boy on a call a few weeks back and she said something about the experience that hit me pretty deep "My job is always surrounded by death so it was a nice change of pace to be a part of life"

How these people handle their pain is beyond me. How strong must you be to experience something like this and go to work the next day. Nothing but love and respect for them.

Every year I take boxes of biscuits to ambulances at Christmas to show my thanks for all they do. For me they are often the forgotten heroes of the NHS. When my granddaughter was 3 (17 yrs ago) she had a really bad seizure the paramedics worked with her in the home before rushing her into the ambulance we had to pull over twice because she stopped breathing and on the 2nd occasion her heart stopped. They got her to hospital on blue lights and were so kind to me as I was so scared they did their best to reassure me she was in the best place. Unbeknown to myself and my daughter the paramedics checked in on her at every opportunity,Lauren was very poorly and we came incredibly close to losing her that terrible Friday on the Sunday we got such a surprise when we went to visit Lauren the paramedics were with her they had called in on a break with a birthday present it was her 3rd birthday and they'd bought her a doll I don't know how they knew but I have never forgotten their kindness. I will stand with them if they want me to when they strike I just think its so wrong that the government has Dr's nurses and paramedics over a guilt barrel.

Watching this as a Paramedic/Registered Nurse is too relatable. We can’t be like this on scene . We have to be strong but children are my weakness ! That’s why I hate getting called to a child . It hurts my heart more than anything because I feel empathetic for the parents 🤦🏽‍♀️

2:36 That, right there, is why the emergency services always have each others backs. You go through a horror job like that, and the simplest gesture, a hug, can be the most therapeutic thing. We humans are creatures of touch and emotion, and to have a touch that we can let our emotions out through? Helps get it out of your system so you can go and save the next life. Having had to have two ambulance trips in my life, one for COVID (ended up spending 2 weeks in ICU on a ventilator) and one for when my gall bladder exploded (well, tore open), the amount of professionalism, care, and simply being a human being helping another that they show is unparalleled. Any and all emergency services deserve our respect.

My boyfriend is a paramedic here in the USA. We live in Florida. He’s been a paramedic for 14 years now. And sometimes you can just TELL he’s had a hard night (he works the night shift). I absolutely respect these people who do this job. It isn’t easy.

My father was an ambulance driver in the 1960s in Liverpool ,in those days they had very little equipment to speak of, if he went to a traumatic shout and we always knew when he came home if it was a bad day because he would go into the kitchen on my mother would come in and say stay in here now because daddy needs some space , RIP DADDY AND MOTHER 💕💕💕

These people are literally superheroes. No one is forced to work in healthcare and the NHS but these people choose to do it and I don’t know what the world would be without them. The hardest job. Highest admiration and love. I don’t believe in god but for the sake of the phrase, god bless them

I have so much respect for paramedics. Imagine having to go to a scene and not know the severity or having things make a fast turn for the worst and going back home to sleep. I wouldn’t sleep.

As we were walking to my mum's on Christmas day, we stopped as an ambulance drove past. They were eating their lunch with Xmas headbands on. My heart broke. I wanted to thank them for doing what they do, especially on Christmas day, but they went too quick. Big thank you to the NHS! ❤️‍🩹

My heart goes out to the paramedics I really thank them I really appreciate what they did I lived in Surrey and remember the day my mum had a heart attack the Paramedics came to revive her but they couldn't it was 15 years ago today when she died we have to be grateful for the paramedics for what they are doing

To be a paramedic, it takes more than courage, more than guts, more than bravery. It takes the highest mental fortitude imaginable, because you never know what kind of scene you’re walking into. You never know if you’re going to watch someone die right in front of you. You can never truly prepare for things like that.

Paramedics and hospital staff are top workers and I have so much respect for them, even with the shortages and pay issues they still turn up to help when needed! Thanks for helping me and my family when we really need it!

These guys come to our aid 24/7 every day of the year see and have to work in terrible situations some very sad some absolutely horrific sights and I have total respect for all of them and all the emergency services and am glad that they also see miracles as well…. Absolute respect from them all..

I use to work in the medical field and eventually had to give it up. I was fine in doing whatever had to be done in that moment but often later it would get to me emotionally. Over time, well, it just adds up.

I was a medic for about 10 years and I know this feeling all too well. Even was diagnosed with PTSD. People forget that we are human with emotions except that we hold it together during the call and cry after the call is done! I saw a lot of heartbreaking moments especially when I worked in NC where I had a lot of bad calls.

Oh my...I've never seen this show before. I cried through the whole video!

I say from my heart!! These truly dedicated and wonderful people are ( Heaven Sent ). During my professional career, I was often first on scene at RTC’s and incidents. I have witnessed life and death on more occasions than I care to recall!! but hearing the sirens of an ambulance crew arriving, still to this day, brings a lump in my throat. From the Emergency Call Centre, often dealing with trauma by phone, to the crews attending were and are the ( true heroes ). I feel humbled to have worked alongside these hugely professional people. They hold their emotions to give strength to others albeit their hearts are breaking!! It is only their pillows, that soak their tears. May the Lord Walk with them always? ❤️🙏

Please Lord Jesus give these wonderful people strength and comfort as the care for people, especially children, who have been hurt in car accidents and other critical things. I ask this in your precious name. Amen and Amen 🙏

My husband lost his step-daughter to a man that was driving drunk. His top speed of 100mpm sent his car airborne. His top speed of 100 sent his car airborne across 4 lanes of traffic. He literally landed on top of the car carrying Judy. According to witnesses he got out of his car and was howling about his precious corvet. He did nothing to try to help Judy or the guy she was with. She was basically decapitated and the guy was left paralyzed. The guy would tell a jury that Judy was the lucky one because his body was destroyed. By the time it went to court the creep married and got his wife with child. He had the audacity to say he was changed and had a baby on the way. My husbands exwife told him that he took away her daughter's ability to have a child. He served a measley year and a day because a juror came back 2 days later and said he changed his mind. You can figure out the rest.

I've got nothing but the utmost respect & admiration for our emergency-services people, I freely admit I could never do their job as I don't have the 'mental toughness' - I'd be in bits at the end of every shift, especially if it involved wee darlings like the baby at he end of this video !

My father had one too many mva/motorcycle accidents, especially involving children. He quit after a year. It takes a very strong person to do the job these guys do. So blessed for all our medical professionals, especially emergency medical

Without paramedics like these guys I wouldn’t be here. They’ve contributed to saving my life hundreds of times over the past nearly 14 years. I have multiple chronic health issues including: asthma, lots of allergies which have caused hundreds of allergic reactions and also seizures. They’ve done everything they possibly could for me when I’ve needed it the most. I have had multiple sit and hold my hand as I cried my eyes out. They always usually on dropping me into resuscitation come back and check how I’m doing a little bit later. I feel blessed to have access to a service like the NHS, I truly can’t thank them enough

I hope the paramedics and all first responders have acces to counseling to help them cope with their emotions and the awful things they have to see. They are all special people who do these jobs and deserve the best of care when they in turn need some care .

My nephew was in an awful accident where the driver who was suppose to be sober..had taken drugs instead. My nephew was left broken and we almost lost him.. he was in the back with his gf, his best and childhood friend in the front passenger seat.. was catapulted from the car and died instantly. The driver then tried to drag my nephews unconscious gf into the drivers seat to take the blame for it.. she had broken ribs, punctured lung..amputated finger.. the driver was almost untouched! My nephew was in a coma for weeks and had both knees broken and various other severe injuries including parts of his skull smashed... People who take the lives of others in their hands so callously deserve to spend the rest of their lives rotting in a jail cell.

Been working in EMS for 6 years, by far the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my entire life was I held my 4 Month old nephew body in my arms. I loathe the dread and deep sadness that I felt in that moment. Words do not describe this type of pain. I wish no one feels that…

this is the reality of a first responder, as he said, you are full of adrenalin, in schock at the moment, that is not your final reaction, it comes after, and we rarely see that.... nothing but respect for this people, strong minded and real human beings

My brother in law is a paramedic and the stuff he has seen is terrible to the point he has therapy and ptsd. I remember his first call was someone who suffocated themself with a bag and its scarred him. These heroes don't get paid enough.

This job and emergency call personnel. Having to listen to panic, terror, crime,& trauma and knowing your on the other line unable to do anything but listen to what you can’t stop😢
