Mom’s written another book. It’s called "Vacuuming in the Nude, and Other Ways to Get Attention," and it’s her best so far. At base, it's a memoir, filled with the kind of funny stories her fans have grown to love and expect. I just had her on the podcast to discuss this and all manner of other stuff, and believe you’ll enjoy every word. If you want to read her book - and trust me, you do - pre-order a copy here. bit.ly/3O7g1Bv Enjoy...

Yo, Mike, I have a possible origin for the Mr. Beeper appellation. When my son was in elementary school, he was telling some story about a playground ball game and said, "It hit him right in the beeper." I stopped him. "The what?" "The beeper." "What is the beeper?" "You know like on television, they don't say the word, they just go "beeeep."

My aunt, and my very young cousin (4) were in a car accident. He was in a car seat so he was safe and no one saw any injuries. When they got to he hospital via ambulance, there was a great deal of confusion. My aunt had taken a turn for the worse and had to go to the OR, when my uncle got there my poor cousin was beside himself...not because of his mom so much but no one understood that he had a really bad problem. The doctor took my uncle aside (very masculine Italian man, my uncle is) and begged my uncle to tell him what a 'Wazoo' was because it seems that my cousin's 'Wazoo' hurt so bad. But he refused to tell anyone what a 'Wazoo' was. This was in 1988. My uncle died right on the spot (not literally) when he whispered what a 'Wazoo' was. The doctor in all the ER commission had to have him repeat it two more times, until the doctor shouted, "Oh his P*nis hurts, so that's why he won't go to the bathroom!" Seems the crash caused the car to get thrust forward and the car seat strap that held him in place in his crotch had caused my cousin's injury, it'd bruised him pretty bad so it hurt to pee. My uncle couldn't handle the boy using anatomically correct wording without mortification, so he taught him another word.

Mike! Your mom is right, you are an entertainer and are very entertaining! I've stopped watching network TV or listening to the radio. I choose to listen to Podcasts that add to my life rather than detract from it. Yours is one of my favorites! I started with the "The Way I Heard It" format and love the new longer format. I listen on my way to work and find myself sometimes laughing out loud and smiling spontaneously. I just love your mother! I can't wait to read her new book.

👩🏻‍🏫🥰Your mum is the quintessential, soft spoken, loving teacher. One hopes everyone will experience a teacher as wonderful and caring as she obviously is at least once in their lives. Also, it is clear she is an excellent mother. She raised you well. There’s nothing greater to behold than a hard working, American man WITH A GOOD ATTITUDE. Except, maybe a happy, hard working woman. 😊 Like your mum. Thank you for the all the work you’ve put in to showcase👷🏻👨🏾‍🏫🧑🏼‍🏭🧑🏻‍🍳👩🏼‍🌾 American’s hard at work & play. We need more television with positive attitude & energy to balance the drama filled, nightly soap operas like sagas they call news. It is teaching future generations to be victims and weak in character, split families are normal, men/fathers are ignorant & women/mothers are b*tches; parents are unnecessary. Apparently instead of strong and decent role models, they believe children can raise themselves with help from a government that only teaches poor work ethics with all their handouts OH MY…My apologies. Guess I need to get that off my chest. One Stepping down. Soapbox put away. I guess a simply thanks for all you do would have sufficed. 😉

Mike, I'm new to your channel and thoroughly enjoyed your interview with Tyrus. I then signed up for the podcast and to my surprise I heard you singing barbershop again!! In a "previous life", I was a member of 2 Sweet Adeline choruses for eight years and loved it!! My spouse, a pastor, will try to meet with the family before the funeral service to get to know about the deceased before he/she died. He will ask for light hearted stories, so his homily will be uplifting to the people who came to CELEBRATE the life of the deceased. That's why when your mom said "audience" it surprised me.

While growing up with 5 brothers, all 1-2 years apart in age, and being little hellions most of the time, my mom one time tied us all to the dining room chairs with dish towels. My grandmother, her mother came over while we're all tied up and told my mom "You can't do that". My mom retorted "I already have". We all laughed about this until my mom passed 4 years ago. My bothers and I still laugh.
