Gift giving isn’t about showing extravagant gifts and words of affirmation isn’t about giving compliments. Gift giving is showing the other person that even when you’re apart, you have them in your thoughts. For example, you work at the beach and you see a seashell. It reminds you of your daughter, who loves to collect seashells. You know she would appreciate it, so you bring some home to her after work. It doesn’t have to be the traditional chocolates or flowers, but showing them they mean something to you through a physical manifestation. Its the thought, effort, and intention behind it. Even when you cant spend quality time together, let them know you are in their thoughts. Words of affirmation is not false flattery. Its saying things that are true, and reassuring the other person with clear and honest communication. For example, your partner might be overthinking that they upset you. Affirm to them that you did get upset and talk it through, or affirm to them that you were not upset. Its saying “i think you’re beautiful just the way you are,” or telling someone i love you. If its not true, then its not words of affirmation. All 5 love languages are needed in love, its just which few we are more in tune to. How we express love or prefer to receive love is very individualistic and unique to each person

I gave up my rising career and I left my family but he chose other woman. Akala nya wala syang nagagawa for our relationship coz I’m type of woman na independent pero sinabi ko naman sa kanya na presence nya lang need ko yung pag uusap namin everyday.
