Time management for new nurse practitioners-- SO tough.
An entire 20 minute visit can get eaten up just by the history alone.
And sometimes you leave the room and feel like even with all that talking... you didn't even get the info you needed.
In this week's video I'm sharing my top tips for not only a FASTER history, but also more accurate-- so you can take great care of your patients, save time and quite honestly, health care dollars.

Nurse, Liz. You are such a sweet person. I’m amazed at some of the people who go into healthcare. I don’t know how they can have such a big heart, but it’s amazing. Of course, everything is on a spectrum, and I have had some rather disturbing experiences too. But certain practitioners like you are just amazing. 👍 As a mere patient, it helps watching these videos because I can then be more prepared for whoever enters the room. I know their time is valuable and my feelings is that the easier I can make it for the practitioner, perhaps the better care I’ll get. To a certain extent, it’s probably incumbent upon all patients to do a better job ourselves at helping the practitioner get to the bottom of things.

I’m really struggling with the diagnosis part. I started my rotations and have been seeing patients on my own but during my debrief with my preceptor I feel so clueless 😅 I have the answer somewhere in my brain I just can’t pull it out for some reason :/
