What are reamp boxes? What do they do? How do they work? Why does Glenn Fricker say I need one? We'll try to answer all these questions.

Thanks for the video! One thing I’ve wondered, if you go Guitar > Audio Interface Pre Amp > DAW > Interface Out > Amp, is it best to always record to DAW with 0 pre amp gain?

How does impedance matching relate to tone suck? I understand that if you connect a high impedance output like a guitar to a low impedance input that you will suffer a loss of high end, but will there be tonal effects of connecting a low impedance output (such as an audio interface line out) to a high impedance input (such as a guitar pedal or an amplifier)?

You've got it exactly right. The capacitance of the cable plays a big part, and just like you said, a high impedance signal into a low impedance input, you will suffer a loss of high end. But in the opposite scenario you should not experience any changes in tone, because the output is able to drive a suffient amount of current to maintain the high end.

Radial Engineering bought the trademark from John Cuniberti, who manufactured the original Reamp after developing it while producing John Satriani. BTW, your background music is very distracting, I thought you had a horrible buzz in your signal chain. It's too quiet to be recognizable as music.
