👍🏾444. Practically the same type I changed on my previous '98 Avensis Mk1 many years ago. Very easy and fast to replace. I did a friends Mk2 Prius front hub bearing and that was hard to remove due to galvanic corrosion. I had the take the hub assembly to a friends garage to separate the bearing. Later I did the other side and was prepared. It took 6/7 huge impacts with a heavy sledgehammer to separate the bearing from the hub. I have done most other types of wheel bearings like tapered, press in and the Renault Grand Scenic disc/bearing combo. I am a home DIY mechanic and have the wheel bearing removal kit, plus a 10 ton press. The wheel bearing kit is great as I can work on location. The press is made redundant. I like your humour and great video.

I remember changing the shoes on my Datsun Blubird180B, the step was at least 1mm, machined it out at work :) Had to beat the washers with a hammer untill they looked like the replacement kit that arrived a few days later after I had pulled it all apart the hard way !

Can you remove and bend the circular wire part wider on the hub cap to make it tighter?

Does this transit have the wet timing belt? If so, maybe you could make a vidoe on that?

Alan do what I’ve done to sons 1.6 and upgrade to rear dise and calipers. All just bolt on . From the 2.0. Also a lot less Ruston that then son 2008. Just had to renew rear suspension most bolts got cut of.

That is so old-fashioned. Takes me back to my 1991 Escort! My 2005 Mondeo is discs all round.

Just finished replacing rear hub and spindle of a 2003 Ford Focus, which is similar to the video. Be sure to remove the smallest of the springs on your brakes so you can loosen the brake shoes (put spring back on of course).. The old hub has been worn down and the brakes self-tighten as that happens. If you don't do this step, your car is likely to get really bad mileage and handle poorly... just like you have a brake part way on.

With the ford centre caps take the metal spring ring out of them and stretch them out then stick them back in the plastic tabs and that will stop them rattling about.

Hello. What is the reason why aluminum wheels often do not have a flat surface on the back. think of the part that has contact with the hub! is it to make it easier for the factory so they don't have to make this surface completely straight

Bonjour,je possède un s max 2 l tdci 140cv année 2008.mon probleme code défaut p2263, perte d huile sous le milieu moteur , voyant esp+ moteur allumé.auqu un garage trouve la panne alors que cela fait un moment que je leur Signal la fuit 😢 ont ma tester le turbo ok, changer vane egr, les 2 electrovannes,ligne échappement sauf catalyseur,filtre gasoil ,vidange d huile et filtre , filtre a aire , toujours même problème car elle ne se met plus en mode dégradé mes toujours voyant allumé si vous avez une idée ou plusieurs je suis preneur merci.bonne continuation .
