Rearranging 2x2 rib stitches for a Tubular Bind Off

This knitting tutorial shows how to rearrange your 2x2 ribbing stitches into 1x1 ribbing for a Tubular Bind off. And just like magic- the bind off still looks like 2x2 rib and is incredibly polished and stretchy and just delightful! Happy knitting!

On a sweater with a split hem would you arrange the stitches wrong side facing then bind off right side facing?

Why not just knit a row of K 1 P1?

I rearranged my stitches as shown….the tubular bind off on the cuffs done in the round looks great but the split hem done flat looks terrible……

I’m wondering…why not knit your last row in a one by one rib and then you wouldn’t have to switch the stitches. Would that make a difference?

Hi there! You need to rearrange the stitches for the ribbing to look fluid all the way to the edge (if I am understanding your question correctly!)
