Very cool tutorial! Grain is pretty much my favorite synth in Reason. I love the fact that you can set up a whole patch, then switch the sample it's all stemming from to something totally different. This synth gives a very wide range of fantastically unpredictable results.

.drex files are a chore to make sometimes. I purchased reason 11 online and have a product key. How can I still use the record mode if demo mode only works if the internet is down?

People often buy the most expensive option for their DAW, but don't really use the stock plug ins. but Reason's stock instruments and effects are better than a lot of paid-for external vsts.👍

Bought reason 2 years ago, never had to buy anything else. Stock plugins outperform so many expensive ones

Loved this tutorial ! very inspiring !! I LOVE GRAIN! I sampled the famous mysterious "WOW!" Radio signal(from the 1970's) from deep space and made a couple of pretty interesting Pad sounds from it -using Grain!!

Grain is built into Reason and the Reason Rack also runs as a VST3/AU/AAX plugin, it's not available separately. All Reason devices run inside the Reason Rack with full rack connectivity for experimentation and sound design, but you can of course open a rack with just Grain (like in this video) and another rack with just an effect chain and so on.
