There was actually a movie made out of this. The judge was also sleeping with the wife, which is why it was an open closed case. “ the judge had blood stains on his hands”. The little sister is the one who killed them both. “ came upon some tracks to small for andy to make” the brother was hung before she could even confess. Great song. Love this one!

Reba is an amazing artist. Her song "I'm a Survivor" helped my mom during her struggle with cancer. She has a TV show that my mom and I would watch together. Since you like the story within the songs, have you thought of looking into Bluegrass or cowboy poetry? I highly recommend "The Night Our Paw Got Hung in that Electric Fence" or "If My Nose was Running Money Honey" by The Moron Brothers. The Bar J Wranglers are a very talented group as well. They do a mix of Bluegrass, Cowboy Poetry, and Yodeling.

@kfedup27

The main reason Reba has become the icon/legend she is is directly related to her ability to find songs that are perfect for her. She's a huge fan of story songs and empowerment songs. Her songwriter credits are a very small percentage of her catalogue, and are not included in the songs you heard here, but she can spot a good song from Jupiter. You might enjoy "Is There Life out There" and "She Thinks His Name Was John," which was a powerful message in the 90s. "What If" also amazing.
