I do not know what makes me more sick to my stomach, Nassar or the Karolyis. Oh, I remember that injury well. Becca was amazing but constantly injured. My heart broke for her!

I've always had so much respect for Bross! What a super tough athlete! I sometimes wonder what her career would have been like had been coached by someone other than Liukin.

Valeri should always be held accountable for all the issues Rebecca went through. Especially in 2012 when Nastia and her both were going for the same specialist spot, he set Rebecca up to fail with her compositions . Soo frustrating

It doesn’t just go with the territory this was avoidable. She didn’t need to do this vault. Not to win, not to lose, nothing. Not necessary. She was massively screwed.

Poor Aly Raisman trying to concentrate on her beam routine. Horrid to see that man with his hand on Rebecca's leg. So creepy. I hope all female gymnasts start to wear the all in one top and shorts design, there's no need to have such horrible high-leg, narrow cut leotards.

Well at the time under the regime of Marta they valued gold medals above the health and safety of the girls and the only ones who cared were personal coaches but it was a matter of finding ones who weren’t worshipping Marta and everything she said but instead looked at the interest of their athletes

I think it's more complicated than that. They all still had to compete. Lose focus and get distracted and you could also get injured. Look at Aly after, she had a really rough routine and thankfully she didn't injure herself. When a football player or basketball gets injured the rest are still expected to compete and try and win. No different.

Для любого тренера , талантливые дети - это прежде всего материал к сожалению , всегда надо помнить : хороший тренер , тот тренер , который доведет тебя до мирового уровня без серьезных травм ! Здесь играет много факторов , правильное питание и конечно вес гимнастки , чем выше вес , тем больше риска травмироваться - закон физики , от веса зависит и нагрузки на суставы ! Есть ещё такой момент , лучше сделать элемент немного попроще ,но чисто , чем травмировать спортсменку ! Сейчас есть все , что бы как можно меньше было травм ! Каждый родитель ( большинство), отдает ребенка в гимнастику для хорошего ОФП , но есть дети ,которым нравиться и именно они остаются и идут дальше ! Я вот так же отдала внучку для ОФП , но она теперь реально фонатеет от гимнастики , не успели обернуться и уже 3 взрослый! Наш тренер за весом очень следит , если что то начинает болеть , меняет нагрузку , в большой спорт отдавать не хочу , если только ребенок сам захочет , тогда придется поддерживать ! Увы !
