The only justice is to remember she's a "socialite". By the time she's out of jail if she even makes it, her life is over anyway. She will be old and disgraced and will never be the glamourous centre of attention again. Somehow, I feel like that would be worse for her than jail.

Love the two youngsters who spoke on behalf of their friend. Grossman’s crime has had far reaching effects in the community, and has created trauma with young people who were witnesses, and who suffered the incomprehensible loss of their friends at the hand of this overgrown reckless woman.

15 years to life. Appalling when it’s reported she could get parole as early as in 7 1/2 years. I thought this meant parole not even eligible for at least 15 years. How is this justice for the death of 2 boys? That’s not justice, that’s a lack of accountability. Shameful sentence.

The base is 15 years. Good conduct credits could reduce it to 12, typically. But it is a minimum. She could serve much more.

The family also needs to file a civil suit to lock up any money Grossman has for the remainder of her life-there is no doubt she has millions. Lawyers can make a few million, and the family can at least have some peace knowing Grossman can never go back to the life she once loved more than life itself.

She’s probably hoping for an appeals case where she will plead not guilty and continue maintaining innocence. If she apologizes it’s like an admission of guilt. She is not a murder. Up to 15 years is a long time. She apologized. With appeals and what not there’s only so much you can say. I am tired of listening to the media and this prosecutors spinning the stuff into something it isn’t. Rebecca was foolish, careless and negligent. Her negligence cost the life of two innocent children. This is the definition of murder “the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another” there was nothing premeditated this was a tragic accident caused by negligence or gross negligence. Everybody loses in this case, I don’t see how there can be any closure.

That’s the definition of 1st degree murder. She was convicted of 2nd degree which includes negligence so egregious that she had to be aware that her behavior could result in someone’s death. She didn’t care. She’s only sorry she got caught.

She may have not intended to commit murder but she did everything in her power to get off. She blamed her ex for killing the children, she wrote to the Iskanders pleading with them, she had people talking to the judge and prosecutor and tried not to go to prison. I won't be surprised if she gets out in a couple of years. She is not sorry for what she did and I'm sure the judge was paid off.

We had three young siblings and their cousin killed , and three more in hospital ,by a drunken delinquent driver . He received 25 years , reduced to twenty with a non parole of 15 years . He was 29 but I don’t know if he was remorseful . Sydney 🦘
