it's not based on a book. it's a very own, copyrightable, legally-distinct, totally not a ripoff, built from the ground up, Snyder-made take on a case of extreme plagiarism of Star Wars.

Based on concepts from "Heavy Metal" magazine as Zach Snyder recently described, which I suggest you check out. Especially the back issues from the 70's, 80's, 90's and so forth. Awesome stories and even greater artworks. Just like Love, Death & Robots!

If you look closely on the banner @01:30 you can see the eye in a pyramid motif surrounded by sun rays even that appears on the back of the $1 dollar federal reserve note 👁 Nice touch 👍

Disney rejected him. Netflix gave him. His script was for Star Wars. PG-13. Yes this is for a big screen. I'm so happy. Zack Snyder's work is a piece of art. I love and support him always. He even said in Gamescon IGN interview. That he wants to make the Gears of War movie. And I'm hyped. I know Microsoft Xbox is working for it and Dave Bautista wants to play the main character. I hope Snyder gets the opportunity. He even said he was interested in making HALO but it was already made. And for War-Hammmer 40,000. Henry Cavill is already in it, working for it. I hope Snyder gets the chance to make that. He can again work with Henry Cavill ❤ Sofia Boutella is amazing. Snyder had her in mind. He wanted her to be the main character. They said no and tried for other actors but in the end they had to choose her. Snyder never chooses wrong. His cast is always amazing. Ray Fisher, Charlie Hunnam, Jena Malone(spider girl), Ray Porter, Anthony Hopkins(voiceover- who was telling the story)..etc. all great cast.
