That was really cool. When you cut the paper for the bookplate I got a little nervous. Oh wait, it's Nik, she knows what she's doing!

The process was just so interesting and I can see where I keep messing up. Beautiful work as always and beautiful materials, I wish I could get some of those papers♡

Thank you for this video. What a transformation you brought about. It is always a pleasure to watch a skilled craftsman at work. My father’s passion was making violins in his spare time, so I have been brought up watching meticulous processes being wrought on materials to transform simple elements into beautiful, exquisitely turned treasures.

Nik, that book is on Amazon for over $350. That’s not the only version or copy - just one of them!!! You were VERY lucky to find it so cheaply!!! 💖💖💖. PS. Love your chosen music!!! 💖💖💖

I'm pretty new to your channel so I hadn't seen you do this. Not sure if it was the soothing sounds and/or the captivating movements of this process, but it worked for me; it had me entranced. It chilled me out... time for sleep, (Not to say that it put me to sleep)! Thanks for sharing your work.

I have that same book and was sad that I couldn’t afford the hardback. This is a beautiful rebinding and would be a book anyone would love to have on their bookshelf or laying on a table. I might as well have been watching that shoveling in handfuls of popcorn like they show when people watch action movies, I was totally glued to the screen, practically with my face on the screen. Love watching the repair...BRILLIANT!!

Nice touch inlaying the title block. I am a huge fan of covered bricks as weights. Mine, though, are covered in reused kraft paper I get in packages as filler. My 1, 2, 3 blocks are also covered. That is because I work with leather and the metal edges might scratch the leather. (1, 2, 3 blocks are used as weights for keeping patterns still) Thanks for the video. Enjoyed it immensely. (as usual)
