I'm going through a spiritual awakening, but actually I now believe the better term is a rebirth. I've mostly used Western people to help me understand what I'm going through and try reduce the resistance and fear of the unknown. I don't believe I'm a Sangoma, but I know I'm highly spiritual. I find more comfort and sense of belonging when I listen to our African spiritual leaders/teachers/etc, but I just can't find the light hearted, less afraid,less heavy content on African spirituality that can allow me, a highly spiritual person, to engage on and also try open my community to, to just increase the awareness. I mean I'm open to helping in any constrained way I can.

I do get messages from them but its unclear as most times I don't understand until its too late. I need help...

Enjoyed this video. I like how you said that you had (or have to) continually unlearn so many things. This process not only relates to one's rebirth into Africa spirituality. This unlearning process relates to our current concepts of history and education which are both grounded in western misinformation and disinformation. It is against this background that I find your retention of the christian bible as the foundation pillar of your rebirth and spirituality quite puzzling. To be sure the Christian bible has been one of the principle tools of the destruction of the African civilization. While the bible certainly has it origins deep in the Nile Valley civilization, the version that currently exists has been so negatively transformed that it bears no resemblance to the original African religious, philosophy concepts. The Bible is far too replete with destructive negative imaginary. Imagery designed to undermine black consciousness. And the deliberate corruption of concepts and imagery are simply to much to unlearn and ignore. Too much African blood seeps from the pages. No. I could not have the christian bible nor any other non African religious book as my foundation text. Africans know intrinsically that God is that divine essence that flows through everything. Our philosophical foundation begins there. Further, that we don't have to denigrate ourselves and BEG some God seemingly resident somewhere in the sky, for love, or forgiveness for some mysterious original sin. Apart from the use of the bible, I found the video thoroughly rewarding.
