I was about to comment about this - Hydraulic Injection is *extremely* dangerous. It’s often a salvageable situation, but it absolutely REQUIRES immediately going to the ER. Any kind of delay will quickly take an uncomfortable situation and turn it into a deadly one. It often doesn’t hurt that much when hydraulic injection happens, but without immediate medical care, the hydraulic fluid being pumped around your body will very quickly kill you. There’s a reason that most hydraulic injection related deaths/amputated fingers/limbs are due to the victim not seeking medical care. To anyone that sees it, *please* take extreme precautions when it comes to dealing with hydraulic systems. They can be extremely dangerous.

That cycle was optimised over 8-10 years down to that time frame to ensure all components are broken in properly. It gets a warm up, full power run and cam swing in that and it’s ready to go 👌🏼it’s then a strict pass or fail and off to rework or PDI/Delivery to Mclaren in Woking

Ricardo PLC are local to me, I went on a tour once of their factory/estate, they described how they tested the engines as "it's like they're driving up the wall for 30 minutes straight, it's the hardest the engines will ever be ran". They also had IOT connected torque wrenches so they actually know how torqued each bolt on the engine is, so they can more easily diagnose any potential problems with that. It was sick!

As a non-mechanical person watching the disassembly each episode I'm always amazed by two things, 1: The shear amount of work/intricate engineering that goes into building these cars and 2: The amount of sand that is still coming out of it. I look forward to the first sand free episode...many.....many episodes from now.

Thats some solid progress! Just a warning for the bendpak lifts, ive had the button stick on me twice. Its actually the relay, that the button controls, that gets stuck. Replace that relay inside the control box.
