Well Ive done it again and bought yet another Ducati Panigale! This time its a wrecked V4S 2020 model with all the trimmings and some very neat suprises!

Should maybe have removed those black grommets on the tank before spray painting. Not sure whether they will be visible after complete install but it will look a bit tatty. Other than that good for a race bike,

They’re not classed as repairable write offs so they can’t go on the road. I’ll look to do a repairable write off soon though…🤞

Would you mind answer a couple of questions about removing the fuel tank? Everyone seems to remove the fuel line from the T fitting but the manual says to remove the two quick-release connectors and that you should replace the fuel line if it’s removed. Do you know how those quick-release connectors operate? Secondly, on the other side of the tank, the front line that goes to the canister has a silver clip that I think needs a special tool and a new clip? Any tips for that line? Can it be removed from further down the line (big round connector above the canister). Cheers!

1. Yes you’re supposed to replace it, from memory I’ve used two on each build and they are super cheap but I dont replace it every single time I take the tank off 2. I get rid of all these connectors and replace with hose clips. Grab the connected section with thick pliers and twist clockwise it’ll pop loose

what do you like to use for cleaning up the engine in all the nooks and crannies, especially in the areas that are typically hard to access?

This bike is actually going for a presale detail at my friends detailing shop….all I do is use some mild solvent spray when prepping each part. Gets rid of most my grease etc in hard to reach spots

I am not a mechanic so please pardon the dumb questions. As this is an aluminum tank or some sort of related alloy, would that smack it received not cause cracking and eventually leaking?

No it’s a softer metal and I’m only lightly tapping it, doesn’t take much to shape it
