My favorite coming of age movies are Fly Away Home (with Anna Paquin), the Secret Garden (1993 version), Now & Then (with Christina Ricci, Demi Moore), Strike! (with Kirsten Dunst), Marie Antoinette and Little Women

I would say Life is strange, The last of us or Assassin's Creed. All of them have beautiful stories and environments, but Assassin's Creed has a different place for me. No game makes me feel the excitement I felt while playing Assassin's Creed. I adore the story. I can say Breakfast Club as a movie. Just to be sure, I'm posting the comment here as well. Also the build is still excellent love u!!

My favorite coming of age story is the Dead Poet's Society and My Girl. My Girl will require tissues if you watch it. 🤧 The US public school system is: elementary (age 5-10), middle school (age 11-13), high school (age 14-18).

I personally think I blossomed (socially) in senior high. I was in Grade 6 when they added Senior High, and all my life I was super shy, quiet and kept to myself. I had friends but I wasn't really surrounded by them 24/7. But come senior high I was more extroverted, friendly, and a lot more talkative. Granted, I'm still VERY shy, but I came out of my shell a fun and loud social butterfly.

I went to a public highschool in the Southern US which is... interesting. Our schools are all solid concrete, cinderblocks, and linoleum flooring throughout and everything is designed to be as vandalism-proof as possible. Windows didn't open, no doors on the bathrooms and half the time the stall doors were broken and off too, also the soap dispensers were confiscated bc students kept stealing them (?) so we had to literally bring our own. We also have the flagpoles and a flag is required in essentially every classroom. Our cafeteria was absolutely huge to fit like all 2,500 of us and they were giant round tables. Also, we had no stand alone chairs everything was connected to the desk and tables to prevent people from throwing them. We had a vending machine area you had to reach through the bars to get to bc people broke into them too many times. There's not a single corner or space of the entire building that didn't have like 3 cameras and we were never allowed outside, doors locked when you stepped inside and you stayed that way til the end of the day. Our classrooms were packed nearly 25-30 kids per room bc the school was originally built for only roughly 1000 student and we were reaching nearly 3000 of us-- this meant they began popping up literal mobile trailers outside on the grounds to use as classrooms. Oh, and we had lots of taxidermy animals in the offices because why not I guess? And with all of this we were the nicest school in the district 💀

As a person who is living in finland and being in a high school it was awesom(and interesting) to hear your experiences from your high school years. And the building is super cool! It made me very inspired to build mine.

The interior looks so good :) I loved my "Highschool" years. I chosed a special program for Highschool, so that twice a week I had class in a research institute for oceanography. Mostly the nerdy kids chosed that biology-chemistry orientated program, so I found a lot of good friends :) It's been 10 years and I still have a Dungeons and Dragons Group with old Highschool friends ^^

I went to highschool before K-12 in the Philippines as well. I graduated highschool and went to college at 16 and we were so immature in college lol. I went to a science high school so we didn't have as much non-academic extracurricular activities, and most students were nerds. It was kinda chill, except when people got competitive lol.

i can't believe that i'm older than you haha! i was in the second to the last batch before they made the changes to our educational system. all this talk about high school years has made me remember such good memories of high school! i was in a science high school in our city so my hs experience was much more intimate than others. can't wait for your filipino high school build :D

My senior year electives were child development first term and calligraphy/t-shirt printing second term.

eyyy I'm the same as you, we start highschool at 12 (for 6 years, I grew up in Belgium) . I unfortunately did not have very fun highschool years, I spent 3 years in a school which wasn't exactly open minded But I switched to an art school, and I'm so happy I did, my mental health got so much better. I love the build btw, i don't really have the guts to make my own highschool sooooo

Loved the build, loved the commentary as always, Leo. You are such a good soul I can't imagine why people picked on you in your younger years. Shame on them. You are such a successful architect now and a Sims builder let those bad people eat rocks. I really enjoyed hearing about your high school years. I was never picked on or bullied when I was in school but I was so painfully shy that I didn't make too many friends. I am so glad you made friends in your later high school years. Keep being you and people will love you. You're one of the good guys.

I'd probably daydream the day away in the library XD. I dropped out of high school... I have social anxiety and my teacher was told to leave me and make other students leave me alone. It was a private one so I was the youngest at 16. So the teacher tries involving me despite being told not to. The second day, a huge 25-year old guy takes off my backpack from the desk next to me that I put there as a "do not sit here", and he starts hitting on me, yelling answers, and all around being an annoying prick. So I couldn't focus as all, this was in the Japanese class. So suddenly the teacher asks me to walk up and read the hiragana on the blackboard. But as everything was so scary, I hadn't been able learn how to read anything and I had to admit to the class that I couldn't read it, but she kept pushing until the bell rang... Then I called my mother and she fortunately came quickly and we went home.

My American high school was grade 9-12 (age 14-18ish), but my senior year, we went to grade 10-12 because a junior high opened and freshmen went there instead. I was totally "Mr high school", in band and drama and like 4 other clubs. I was junior class president and the mascot. Good times!
